But that's why I have my girlfriends, I'd rather talk about blowing stuff the hell up on multiplayer. And since I'm a Vanguard... CHARGING

Just want to let everyone know I just played with the OP and a few people from here and it was great, good communication and everyone played very well.
Agreed! It was awesome!
I'm glad I made this thread, despite the occasional gay jokes and the fact that it got off topic a bit... It was definitely worth it to have found some teammates that make me want to be a better player. Hopefully we can get even more players to dominate matches with us...! =D

We're all human beings here. *I think*,
what does it matter if people are gay, straight, bisexual.
I play with Men and Women from multiple countries and some of them I know are gay, I don't care. that doesn't have any effect on how I see them or how it affects the game.

If any of you wanna play with a Sentinel with the Collector rifle, Origin ID is Verhalthur.

Might join you sometime. I tend to leave my mic off cause my accent/dialect can be embarrassing, but I'll dig it up. Are you guys going for the Gold maps?
Accents are awesome! Why would you be embarrassed by how you speak? We're a no judgement group here (well, so far we've had a couple hetero trolls but we don't play with them) so you'd definitely be welcome! We played a silver match cause we wanted to get our characters to Level 20 before doing Gold... You should join us! What character do you prefer to play??

Me neither but I'd like to arrange to do the Gold maps with someone eventually, so why not?

Well there's a lot of words I can't say, so I have to stop and think of synonyms really quickly. And in recent years I've found out that in my hometown we've made up a lot of English words we use. Woops!
I only have one character so far, Vanguard but I like all classes. Once I get one to level 20 I'll shoot you a PM.

A lot of different people have explained why a thread like this is a good idea, but here's how I see it: this is a social network for Bioware fans... so why is it weird to want to socialize with certain people I know I'll get along with?
After having a couple random teammates say things like "that's gay" and throw around the F word, I decided I'd rather form a team of players who I can have fun with and not feel insulted (even if they weren't calling me out personally--since they didn't know I'm gay--I was still offended)

Isn't this thread counter productive? Whats the point of having "Any Gay Players" does it matter if your gay, straight, boy, girl, alien, or etc?
Next you'll see a "Any Straight Gamers" thread along with Boy/Girl/Alien/Korgan.
*I* certainly don't think this thread is counter productive. I've already found several cool people to play Mass Effect with. Mission accomplished! =D
If someone wants to create a "Any Straight Gamers" thread, more power to them!
In fact, instead of trolling my thread with pointless, rhetorical, hypothetical questions, why don't you go out and make your own "Any ____ Players" thread? If there's genuine interest, the thread will flourish. If not, it will fade away into obscurity or get locked. OR, if you aren't looking for a specific type of person to play with, like I am, then just go play Mass Effect and stop wasting time on the forum.

You might want to go to the Fight for the Love thread in the ME 3 forums and drop your tag there as well. Most of the posters are queer, though I don't know how many are doing MP.

I say "that's gay". The thing is i didn't even realise i did it and then i said it in front of my 2 friends who are both gay, then it dawned on me that they might take offence. The thing is for me it is not intended as a homophobic slur, maybe the expression originated that way but i know in my heart of hearts that i do not mean it that way. Of course, I apologized straight away. Both of them just laughed and said that they know me well enough to know that there is no maliciousness or homophobia behind it.
Now i try not to say it but i would be lying if i said it did not slip out from time to time.
Don't let a few narrow minded individuals restrict who you play with, you could be missing on some fabulous new friends! However you will be deprived of getting to know me because sadly the X-Box and PC divide us.
On that note i wish you many extractions and lots of credits.
