Curious if there are any people who are more into gold games, specifically. Perhaps now that platinum is out, I'd like to find a few more groups who'd like to give those games a roll also. Hard to sift through the "empty" descriptions on some of the origin names, lol.

Also, I like using dolby as the ME3 chat system doesn't really work that great on my end...

This thread finally pushed me over the edge. I don't want to play with people whose idea of cleverness is shouting homophobic (or any other) slurs into their mic, and I also don't want to play with people who think that behavior is okay.

GT is "Vorpal Sword", with the space. Won't be on for a week or so, but when I'm around I'm always up for Silver and generally up for Gold.

EDIT: Eastern timezone, and on request I'll plug in my mike.

Before your eyes glaze over and you post something like “tl;dr” let me just say that I love you. …actually no I don’t, I just wanted to say something random to hold your attention for a little longer!  If just you take a minute to look over the rest of this post, I’m sure most (if not all) of your questions/concerns will be answered!

For the record: The BSN clearly states that the Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer Discussion forum can be used to "seek teammates". So I'm not breaking any forum rules by creating this thread and I'm NOT trolling (unlike a lot of other people that feel the need to add their two cents).

some friendly advice to any would-be trolls lurking out there: you might want to look over them again before you decide to post in this thread… it could save you a lot of trouble!

But if, after reading this, you STILL have an issue with the name or purpose of this thread (or “homosexuals” in general), either PM me directly or complain to the moderators (or, you know, get a life!) But please don’t clog up this thread with your off-topic posts asking questions that have been asked/answered a hundred times already!

ANYWAY I initially created this thread looking for a couple fellow “gaymers” to play with (after all, this *is* a social network!) …but it was never my intention to be exclusive or appear “heterophobic” so I clarified that I’m not JUST looking for “gay people.”

ANY member of the LGBTQIA community is welcome to sign up!

Oh and the “A” in “LGBTQIA” can stand for straight “allies”, so please don’t be shy if you aren’t gay (around HALF of the people who have added their names to the list are straight!) We our straight allies and we’re totally willing to play with you!

However, I’m NOT willing to play with homophobes.

I've suffered through too many random matches where I hear things like "geth hunters are SO gay!" or "that guy just wasted a missile on a pack of phantoms?!? What a f*****g f****t!" Now, I certainly can't speak for everyone in the gay community, but I take serious offense to that, especially when the derogatory remarks are directed at me or another player.

That’s *another* reason why I created this thread: I wanted to find gay-friendly people I could feel comfortable playing with, knowing that they wouldn’t call me the F word if I didn’t make it to the LZ in time!

But then I played a match with some random people who started throwing around the N word and telling racially-charged jokes about lynching, and I realized that what I REALLY wanted was to form groups of mature, respectful, open-minded individuals to play with.
So you see, I'm not being exclusive, just selective

If that sounds like something you'd be interested in (are you still reading this??? wow… I’m starting to really like you!) let me know and I’ll add you to the list!

Some more friendly advice: (that I don’t always follow ) let's just ignore the trolls. Hopefully they'll get bored, go away and live their lives instead of wasting valuable seconds being annoying and offensive!

I can't even believe I read someone calling you an attention seeking homosexual just then. It sounds to me like op wasn't the one bringing sexual orientation into the game. It actually sounded like op distinctly listed other people bringing sexual orientation into the game by using intolerant terms toward gay and lesbian people. Williamyzfr1, it sounds like you may not belong on this thread... No offense, but did you even read the op?

I just did some platinum runs with a good team. Not that much more difficult than gold if you have good people and know what to do! I'm down, just message me when you're getting together a team.

To the one calling the OP an "attention seeking homosexual" sorry your not worth me remembering your name but if u would take time to read you would see that it's not about sexuality it's about tolerance and about wanting to play the game without hearing slurs. You can't blame him for trying to find like minded ppl to game with. If your not open to playing in a mature game with ppl with open minds then don't add your name. If I want to play a video game with people who are friendly, respectful and aren't homophobic, that's my prerogative and it shouldn't bother you one bit!

I don't parade my sexuality when I play Mass Effect (ask anyone that I've played with) and MountainRespect hit the nail on the head when he/she said that it's actually OTHER people who brought sexual orientation into the game when they throw out homophobic slurs left and right. One of the reasons I created this thread was because I got sick of random people calling me a ****got for no reason. 

If that makes me an "attention seeking homosexual", so be it!

Oh and in almost every match I play, there's probably one or two "silent homosexuals" on the team because I often have to settle for randoms to fill up the lobby. I might have even played with you at some point, WilliamYZFR1!
So as you see, I'm not discriminating against anyone. I don't get why it's such a big deal that I like to have one or two friends from the BSN play with me... None of my friends in real life play Mass Effect, so there's no harm in me looking for cool people to play with on the forums. Other people do it ALL the time and I don't see you going into their threads saying "why can't you just play the game with missile glitchers or Novaguards or Level 1s?" or whatever kind of player they prefer to avoid.

Yeah a good team makes all the difference in the world! 
Quinsareth and I played four platinum matches earlier tonight and we beat Wave 11 three times (and got full extraction once!) 
They need a Diamond difficulty next
