Glad to see there's renewed interest in this thread! Since it's been "necro'd" I've been contacted by several new players who support the goal and purpose of this thread. I've already played several matches with some of them and am looking forward to more =)

Irrelevant. There are plenty of new players who are glad to see that a thread like this exists. So long as there is legitimate interest in the original goals and purpose of this thread, it will stay open.

I'm a bisexual (male preference) guy that goes with the flow. I don't give people hell for their slip ups, either, because crap happens and I'm not some kind of sociopathic nutter whose sole job is to hate upon the 'lesser people.'

I'm actually disabled myself, so I have slip ups aplenty. I think that understanding and empathy are good values to have, as is being able to laugh at yourself when the crap hits the fan and you accidentally end up surfing into the wild blue yonder.

Outside of my own social group of fantastic, lovely, and intelligent people, I don't know many others who're like that. Far, far too many take multiplayer really seriously. Like winning is getting your end away or something. I dunno. It's silly, and that's where a lot of these derogatory marks come from, anyway. If you take away the guy who needs to win at all costs, the derogatory marks go with him.

I think really we just need more easygoing players.

I've started playing a volus lately just because it's funny to roll down ramps whenever you derp and you get knocked out. That's what you can expect from my group. We do p great in silver, and sometimes we'll even pull a gold out of the bag. And if one of us is ill then another will pick up the slack and pull the group through. So we do okay.

But we don't need the win.

So yeah, there's that.

I personally don't really mind if a person is gay or not. I will admit seeing or hearing two guys making out flips my stomach, but I have nothing against gays. And anyone who bashes them and curses at them are idiots.

Though... now that I think about it, it's kind of sad the poster of this topic had to start off with a long rant to keep people off of his back in case people had a problem with this. And knowing some people, they probably did.

Actually, if people called the person names with hate in their voice, the 'victim' in this case (don't know what else I would call it, since they are the victim to abuse), they could probably easily file a report on them.

Hell, I would if a person was calling me names and everything. I get online to have fun, not to be screamed at by idiots. I'm sure at least half of the people here feels the same way, right?
