Just my opinion...I dont think Morrigan was Morrigan after Flemeth was dead. I think Flemeth played a big game and after she died Morrigan was Flemeth. The grimore ect was all part of the plan. Flemeth was twisting people for centuries.

You thought you were helping Morrigan, so did Morrigan...but in the end the winner was Flemeth.

I really agree with that. I guess i wasn't the only one to notice that.

That could not have been the case, regardless of whether you kill flemeth or not, the ending is not altered as you can well...trick morrigan that flemeth is dead, and flemeth cannot exactly be in 2 person at the same time, however I think Morrigan's plan after she learnt that she could jump into new bodies like flemeth should she have the knowledge, she could become a god if she were to possess the child she wanted.

The body is not what made the child a "god" though.  If she possesses the child, then she would be displacing everything that made it special.

I believe her intentions for the child are to learn its power, or to somehow try to steal the essence of its power.

I like to think that her intentions are ultimately affected by her relationship with your character.  Regardless of what Bioware thinks happens in the end, if you treat her properly, you can truly change her for the better.

As soon as the new toolset is released, I intend to correct the errors they left behind.  I reject Bioware's reality, and substitute my own.

Not reading this whole thread, but a couple points here...

first, I couldn't agree more with Anacronian.  I won't say she's some sort of moral paragon, but yes - she is absolutely a refreshing breath of fresh air from the way women are typically portrayed in games.

Second, saying that her trashing outfit somehow nullifies her validity as a new breed of woman is way off imo.  How she dresses does not have any bearing on whether she is the typical subservient/do-anything-for-love cliche woman in the game.  In fact, she flaunts her sexuality not because she's some sort of needy tramp, but rather she weilds it like a weapon.  She uses sexuality as a tool - she is not some male plaything - males are her playthings.

Lastly  - same goes for the baby.  Yes there's a baby involved, but somehow equating this to the typical woman-will-do-anything-to-get-her-baby just doesn't fit in the least. This isn't some sentimental weepy female who is out to get a baby at all costs.  It's a woman looking to harness the power of an Old God at all costs.  The baby is a vehicle, nothing more.

Again, I think Anacronian gets it spot on.

People hate this woman because she is different from all other preceding women in gaming.

I totally adore Morrigan, For many reasons, Chief amongst them are that she's so unlike most woman in computer games in the way she's portrayed.

Lets face it, Computer games aren't really all that modern in their description of woman as a whole, Most of them are just eye-candy with stupendously enlarged mammary glands, But Morrigan actually Has a mind and is not afraid to speak it, This combined with a total lack of romantic experience makes her a brilliant character.

In fact Morrigan is just about the most modern woman you will see in any media, Shes a woman and she chooses something else above Love - if there is anything the media has thought us the last 100 years, The it is that woman will ALWAYS chose Love above all else - Morrigan doesn't ..uncanny really.

I'm honestly sitting here laughing. And what is it that Morrigan wants so much? That she gives up love for?

MAKING A BABY.

Yeah, a truly modern woman. Way-ta-go BioWare.

Very true. But women that actually do that don't walk around (on the street anyway) wearing a hanging piece of cloth threatening to reveal their ample chest at the first arm jerk. It tends to attract the wrong kind of attention (not that she couldn't handle it).

I think the outfit is silly.
