I just never thought they'd leave the ending so.. empty. ME 1&2 had excellent endings,
It was like I had a sense of accomplishment in the ME universe, until now

Adding Protheans to multiplayer wouldn't make any sense. The ME3 multiplayer is quite successful in tying in the events of the single player game. It's why there isn't a pvp mode. Adding Geth, Batarians, hell even Hanar and Elcor and Volus would make sense, but not Protheans.

What if it is true, and bioware is also the on e leaking this info (discretely, and without claiming that it is them) in order to calm the most passionate among the masses i.e. the people campaigning for change of ending.

only the most concerned people would be on ehre digging this kind of info up, so it would calm the most active dissenters until the DLC launches, without spoiling the surprise for everyone else.

Also, if the indoctrrination theory is true and this turns out to be a fre DLC that is actually part of the core game and this first false ending is part a real-time player-based indoctrination mechanic, it would go down as one of the (if not the single) greatest game mechanic mind-f*cks of all time, right up there with the old MGS controller switch thing.

However, as a fan who didn't view it and tried his god damn best to keep away from it, as well as pre-ordering it and other various ME products, I have to ask Bioware why I was "punished" (by not giving me the true ending) when I have done nothing but support the game?

To make this game one of the most memorable games of all time.

Even if it was a low blow, it would certainly do the job.

The thing is guys, Bioware hasn't made a single comment on the ending. I'm sure if it was their final ending they would be taking it in and acknowledge the complaints. But no.
