Ok so I have always been an avid BioWare game fan, but Origin is really draining my resolve to deal with this anymore.

Anyway to my experiance.

So I buy DAO Ultimate Edition last night and download it. Today I wake up and feel like playing, get into the game and low and behold all the DLC is unauthorized. Which annoys me to no end considering even before I bought the ultimate edition I already had other DLC bought from before. Yes I had the DAO Collectors edition plus some DLC, I decided last night to splurge for 15 bucks on Origin since the Ultimate Edition comes with all DLC and Awakening.

Anyway even all my previously owned DLC says that it requires me to rebuy it. So I go to talk with the Origin online chat, I start talking with a guy and yada yada tells me to use a pirate work around to get the DLC to work. Now this requires you to go into a document that controls the DLC and change around values so you can bypass authorization. It is a fix, but it is a fix that I will have to do every time I feel like reinstalling the game and playing it again. So I tell him it doesn't work because this problem is not on my side it is on Origins side.

After that, he gives me a code to redeem the same DLC I had already bought and can see is registered on the site, so I redeem it again, unauthorized yet again. So after that he tells me that if I uninstall the game with a program called Revo uninstalled and reinstall the game, the problem will be fixed. Now this comes off to me as 1 of 2 things. He either wants to get rid of me, or he really thinks it will work. Anyway I say goodbye and am sticking to the pirate work around, I dont feel like uninstalling a 40gig game just to have to redownload it and have it still be broken and have to go through these hoops again.

I have the same problem too, and it rears its ugly head even when I format my computer. Played fine for almost a year before it turned up. Haven't played since. Heard that the new patch 1.05 would solve the prob but haven't tried it yet...

I can relate to your frustration with Origin and EA, (and those "Game Advisors" guys). I have the hard copy of DAO for PC and bought most of the DLC, which has always been "unauthorized" for some reason but still able to play it. I try to steer clear of all this "digital" stuff. but I haven't played DA:Origin's for some time...now Iam nervous to go back now and try it, or DAII for that matter. Why EA? Why do you have to make this so hard for gamers?

With regard to the above posts I thonk you guys will find that the patch 1.05 will solve these problems. From what I can make out from the notes relating to this release It is solving prorammining problems from the written in the program during release. I may be wrong but that was how I read the notes

When I installed the Ultimate Edition on my PC, I updated immediately to 1.5, the game still had the DLC as unauthorized, then I contacted EA via Origin, as the topic creator stated, they gave me the work around about editing the XML file. I don't understand why the patch and origin aren't getting along, but if you check your game file after patching in the config utility, the versions aren't updated to 1.5.

I'm having the same problem after buying the hard copy of DAO Ultimate Edition last week. The content is installed but "unauthorized". So far all I have gotten from EA is the run around...I talked with Rajesh, Sudhir, and Manoj and all they have offered is try this, try that, and all for nought. Very frustrating. I paid for the content, I want to be able to access it.

Edit - After reading the posts here, I saw mention of a patch that I was unaware of.  I searched for updates since my installation didn't automatically do that (and I don't understand that).  Any way, I found a patch 1.05 at this location (http://social.biowar...age/pc/patch/en). I ran the patch and all my problems seem to be fixed.  All the extra content is "authorized" and all the "other campaigns" are showing up as available to play.  This may not work for everyone else but it has resolved my issues.  Sure seems like an easy fix that EA could post somewhere to avoid all this frustration.  Good luck all.
