Who know, maybe the game continues regardless of the choice you made Because theres a new PC? If you picked the perfect destroy ending shepard is still on your side, if you got shepard indoctrinated is now an agent of the reapers like Saren? I'm just throwing idea around now though.
Imagine Shepard being an agent of the reapers and the end fight involves you talking to him/her and making shepard shoot him/herself in the head...

However, if it is, this or any kind of ending DLC has to have Shepard. Everything is not acceptable.

If this turns out to be true and not a person faking the image... then good. I'm holding off on my final word on the game till someone from Bioware says something definitive.

Where did this leak come from? Does anyone have a source? It kinda looks like 4chan to me....
A 'minor' employee at Bioware who seems to glimpse only the small details about whats doing on with the devs. But then again: the DLC leak seems pretty true (Omega DLC, LI DLC then Ending DLC) and I would actually expect Bioware to deliver it to us in that order.
Sorry for my scepticism, but may I ask where, when and how did this anonymus person announce or leak this piece of information. Could you give me a link or something at least? I'm not that disappointed with the endings as most people are here but still I would definitely would like to see something much better which at least live up to the rest of the saga.
Back to the original question of the "leak": the Omega DLC was pretty obvious (there was speculation about it when our only source of information about the game was the guy who had one of the space editions). And obviously it would make a nice subplot campaign with multiple and exciting missons in a familiar and arguably one of the most popular ME sets. So this piece of news is not really news. It is speculation, but with a high probability to become real.
As for the rest: it is pure wishful thinking. Nothing less, nothing more. I also would like to see the ending dlc, but at this point it's pretty hard to tell wether Bio. wants to play along with the desire and outrage of their fans (it would be a risk - because if they release a dlc like that, even if they would make a vast number of their fans happy, they still would admit that they failed to finnish the game because of the strict deadline of EA). And there's the new Casey interview which is clearly ignoring the outrage and try to ease the heat by some sloppy damage controll and the promise of some cool future single player dlc-s (eeer... well whatever, anyway... business is business).
What is that LI DLC? If it is about fixing the flashbacks... well we don't need a dlc for that, only a patch of some sort.
It's pretty obvious by now that the endings were rashed due to deadline issues. No matter how much Walters and Hudson insist that this was the ending they dreamed for this game, they simply did not have the time to finish the game.
There are a few hinted pieces of proof out there: the leaked script had a lot more variations for these three endings (which were made slightly different - unlike the final result). I also got to add that the endings according to the leaked script were a lot more well thought out. It's obvious that they used the same sequences for all endings because they had no time to make them more diverse (Joker took away the Normandy without any explanation whatsoever and crashing on that funny paradise planet, the relays explode in the same fashion only the color of the energy beam differs etc.). The flashback scene is another obvious hint: they had no time to make it for all characters who matter, but those three and only including the ME1 LI. We also have some extra dialogue with Anderson at the Citadell which had a lot more heart and hope in it. We have some cut banter between Joker and Cortez which makes it obvious that Joker and the Normandy would have participated in the final battle according to orgininal plans. The credits mention the voice actor of Harbinger... you heard any Harby in the game? No... but still most probably he recorded some lines for it which was not used, thus they put his name in there. They always promised a lot more varied endings, which contradicts with what we got ... Anyway it is very likely that they ran out of time as release date got closer to them, that's why they used what they could and already got of the endings and made this hasty one just to wrap things up quickly. It does not live up to the whole game as an ending. I just can't imagine that a writing team that wrote something as big, epic, thoughtful and beautiful as these three games (ME3 included - up until the point Shep was hit by Harbinger), couldn't handle the endings as good as they could handle the rest of the game(s). So yeah, it would be nice to see some kind of reaction to the fans disappointment from Bioware and a solution that is good enough for both sides. But I won't hold my breath.

We're all HOPING for something. I don't believe the "leak" either, but it's not the worst thing in the world to speculate on what an expansion might bring.

First, let me just say that I am EXTREMELY skeptical. I'm not even letting myself hope yet.
But if it were to be true, I wouldn't accept anything other than Shepard as the PC.
Same here, with a title of "The Truth" What else would there to be about... Joker explaining why, of all times, that he'd run the Normandy away in a choice that wouldn't result in Earth's destruction?
That being said, The Arrival was supposed to be epic as well and it... well, fell on a flat note. So while I hope and beg for a proper ending... I'm very skeptical on it being delivered at this rate.
Dragon Age 2
The Arrival
Mass Effect 3
- pretty bad track record they gotta redeem and what I expect from the story team is so high that I doubt they'll live up to it.

After all the "Mass Effect Crew" wanted to give a final boss you knew not the cheesy TIM Husk.
Please note that statement was in the Art book under TIM.

My first instinct is to be skeptical, but after all of the leaks regarding ME3 since last November... man, it's hard not to see this as a strong possibility.

People would've been annoyed to begin with, but surely Bioware would consider annoyance at a delayed game better than the fans raging when they find out that they shipped ME3 without the proper ending.
I really don't believe this is true.
If it is true though, the PC can't be Shepard - you seem him die in every ending bar the 'perfect' destroy.

The majority of ME3's story was amazing imo. Even the endings are incredibly emotional, right up until that lift with Shepard lying on it starts to rise up. Everything before that, bar a few bits and pieces, was fantastic. I personally feel that any lingering doubts from DA2 and Arrival were redeemed by the vast bulk of ME3. Although doubts did come back about 5 minutes before the credits.Hunter_Wolf wrote...
