I think the forums make the number of angry people seem a lot larger than it really is. I work with 12 guys and they all are happy with the endings. Not one is mad at Bioware or the ending. All but 3 of them have been playing since ME1.

One would think the responses from these popular gaming sites would be more polarized. It supports those asserting that they are “in bed” with EA. An idea I at first dismissed as just angry fan raging at differing opinions.

I'm the same? I don't have multiple websites saying how dumb I'm acting, now is there? Your actions are making gamers as a whole look bad. If more than one person across more than one media notices that? Then that's pretty bad. I'm here trying to get you to understand how bad you're making all gamers look. You may think you're justified, but you're making it so that nobody takes us seriously.

hey dude, got that DA2 DLC proof?  Or are you just gonna keep trying to deflect?
C'mon, be mature now ;)

I love how you guys have ignored anything on this you don't agree with. Hell people have even asked you to show if it sold well and you ignore them.

BTW we are still waiting as well.

Nearly 40,000 individual votes on the poll.

Really?!  Still arguing that it's a minority dissatisfied?  I admit that is sometimes the case, but this time it's simply not true.  There seems to be overwhelming dislike for the way ME3 turned out!

There were and are ME3 ads plastered all over all of the reputable gaming news sites. Are you really surprised it's gotten 10/10s from everyone and now they're defending bioware and condemning us?

Hot off the presses. This article comes to us from Gamespot's finest:

"Some people have argued that in Mass Effect 3, BioWare has delivered something different to what it promised. This is irrelevant. In its role as both an art object and a consumer product, Mass Effect 3 remains the property of its maker. As a final product, it is the expression of those who created it, and its sole objective is to be consumed--not recreated--by its audience."

There you have it fans, so take your broken promises, your Red, Green, and Blue ending and be happy with it. And don't you dare bring up any of the massive plot holes.

I'm supposed to accept false adveterising for a product that can't be refunded?

Hm...

Art is also meant to be interpretted and there is nothing wrong with saying you dislike something and expressing how you wish it had gone. It's getting on my nerves how game journalist seem to just look down their noses constantly at the community now and bow down to the devs and publishers.

No, it is well known that many of the larger gaming review sites and the like have been bought out by bigger publishers. They do a lot of advertising for them. It has always been and always will be this way. They can't really be taken seriously.

If the author says that promises are irrelevant then they have no idea about the law. If a company advertises and specifically says something about their product they know to be false in an attempt to sell the product I believe that such behavior would be considered "Fraud" which IIRC is a criminal offense. Either way consumer protection laws would beat down any company found guilty of delierately doing something like this.

Summary:  Artistic freedom is not a defense against "fraud".

3.5 million copies sold in the first week and only 38k are complaining.... so they should change their product to suit the needs of that small percentage and ****** off the other 3,462,000 people

I see.

Misleading of them.

I usually just bring up a game on amazon and read the user reviews.  I never payed much attention to those mega sites.

You assume people not voting in the poll are people who enjoyed the endings, which isn't entirely true. Not to mention how many of those copies are sold to other language users(IE people not int he english section of these forums).

Not to mention, no one said that they had to change the game and ****** of other people, it's called DLC, and it's optional.

Obviously there is going to be DLC taking place after shepard wakes up bioware has basically already stated this so what are you complaining about?

Actually there is a legal liability here. It would only take one bold fan, lawyer and prosecutor to sue EA for this.

Bioware promised us that the end product would reflect our choices made in games. It did not. You can sue them for misleading statements and advertisement. Their statements are public. If I was an American citizen I would do it.

So many things wrong with the site that OP linked to.
