I noticed a couple of clusters I couldn't click on, with Reaper icons above them. One was most likely Omega. Do you think it's for DLC clusters? It was probably a bug that I saw it at all, but nonetheless interesting

Nah, I think it is star systems that have become unavailable as the campaign progresses

yeah I noticed that too. Anything is possible but theres like 4 star systems that you cant click on and are under reaper control.

i think its just to add to the effect that the reapers are everywhere at that point

Maybe future DLC?

Yes these clusters probably for future DLC (Retake Omega the most likely one).
Especially considering the fact that after you beat the game and the credits rolled you end up on the Normandy facing the galaxy map. Setting you back to the point of no return (attacking the cerberus base), which means a lot of pre ending DLC (since I think there are 3 - 5 unclickable clusters).

No I had these pop up after completing Rannoch and the Sanctuary mission. They were never clusters I had access too previously and I didn't miss any side quest content.

I'm going with the DLC clusters explanation. They're not just there to show Reapers, as you're moving about the galaxy map through the game these unclickable clusters act as relay waypoints to reach other systems.

If I'm not mistaken, the four systems in question are Omega, Hawking Eta, The Caleston Rift, and The Crescent Nebula (Illium)...

More Reapers on the map makes it look more dramatic. I think they're also there for relay path consistency with the first two games.

What could be found in Hawking Eta or Caleston Rift?
