After the god kid stopped talking I proceeded to yell at the god kid in confusion and anger until I finally decided to control reapers and got to watch my shepard die and the rest of the aweful ending playout.
From then I was just a little depressed but mainly dissapointed.

I started walking towards the 3 choices, stood there thinking none of them sounded great, turned around and tried shooting the hologram in the head.

My reaction was **** you harbinger I'm not listening to your honeyed words. I came here to destroy all the reapers including you. (ie. went for destroy soon after)

I sat there and shot him for 10 minutes nonstop, then decided "hey if the game doesnt give a flying **** then I really dont" and activated the green ending.

See theres something I didn't get... Wheres the God-Kid's CPU? Where's my chance to blow that to ****? I mean without it, are the Reaper's gonna still follow the catalyst's design? Who knows? If it fails, then jump into the white light...

I actually didn't notice the color coding and I was totally confused where I was supposed to go. I wanted to destroy those bastards but I just couldn't figure out if it was right or left so I just randomly went to the right

And then the rest happened and here I am, still reading the forums, trying to make sense of things.

I, like others, shot the little kid in the head a few times. Was very dissapointed when nothing happens.

You know you've screwed up when one of the most common actions for people who reach the end of your game is to shoot at it.

I actually went with control the first time. I thought I wouldn't destroy the Mass Relays, and it I felt it wasn't my decision to change everyone's DNA.

I was really proud of Shepard for being so selfless. Then everything went to **** anyway so I reloaded and chose destroy just to harm Vent Brat in some fashion.

At first I tried to start another conversation with him. When I realized that was not possible, I started shooting him. Then, after all that being in vain, I went to destroy that pipe.

I sat there thinking "This can't be it. Shepard has to wake up." I jumped into the magic, because each option seemed equally stupid. Once I watched the old man and boy BS, I realized this crap really was their intent. The rage and anguish set in, immediately.

It must have been apparent, because my wife walked in and said "What's wrong?". Looking at the credits rolling, she said "Uh-oh, you beat it. You look depressed". I said, "I'm not sure what I feel, because I'm not sure what just happened. I can't F-ing believe this ending". I'm still at that point.

No lie, the first thing I did was Google "Drew Karpyshyn not part of ME3", because this terrible writing could never have come from him, in my estimation. (I hadn't realized going into it that he had moved on, as many of you likely already knew.)

I went ahead and played the last two endings, wasting another hour of my life. I'm still angered to a degree I'd have never thought possible, in relation to a video game. WTF, guys? WTF?

I sat there, staring at the blue/green/red lights and tried to remember which one meant "destroy", because during the "explanation" I was too numb to process the information. Of course I picked "control" on accident as I figured that blue = paragon = destroy, but apparently not.

Then I just stared at the screen for a bit and started looking up the endings online, thinking maybe I missed something crucial.

Yeah I also made the same mistake Nelzeben. I couldn't process what he said right with the melting of my organic brain.

I haven't bothered to correct it.

I just sat there waiting for the 'To Be Continued....' card to pop up on screen.

It didn't.

All those years, all those hours, all the product.....

All the money.

I got on the phone to a friend of mine, and explained that he may find the ending....contentious.

Then dropped on here to see what others thought.

And I've never seen such a backlash against a game. Not ever. And I'm an old gamer now in my mid-40's.

Paused the game. Ate dinner, the whole time thinking about how I am presented with 3 atrocious options. Came back and picked red because its my favorite color and proceeded to stalk ME3 forums for a hint at proper ending DLC.
