My problem is when i start my console and starting up Mass Effect 3 i did have horizontal lines with all colours for just two seconds or so. My guess is that it will not be the screen or the cable because i have tried farious games to check and it only popup sometimes i start Mass Effect 3 but game runs fine and feeling the back it keeps itself cool enough. I wanna ask if people have simular problem so i can decide if i need to send my Xbox 360 back for repair maybe? Wil there be a patch and can someone confirm my problem is simular and also pure related to Mass Effect 3 and not too my Xbox 360??? My thank will be great.
BTW sorry for my poor english but i hope you people are getting my point.
Horizontal stripes for 2 seconds a moment before the "press start" appears

I know what you mean, I saw it yesterday. Nearly gave me a heart attack as it looks like an E74 but I'm fairly sure it's just a fluke. I wouldn't worry about it(playing on a newer slim model that runs perfectly).

Upgrade your graphics card... wait. Jk. Iv'e had the same issue but it was only for a split second. Doesn't seem too serious. Playing on Xbox Slim.

I don't have the SLIM version but the latest one of the older Xbox 360 using the JASPER chipset with the production date from 10 Januari 2010. But indeed it almost gave me a heart attack also.
I did repost a answer onto Xbox forums and they gave me the following answer:
Mister Gwyther told me this.
Hey there Sjaak! I understand you are having issues when starting up ME3. Just to make sure all the bases are covered, can you try using a different cable and, if you can, hook your console up to another TV to see if the same issues persists. Also, if you use this game on another console, does it have the same issue? Let me know what you find out, thanks!
My response to that will be like this:
Well i cannot test the game on another TV because i only have a PC monitor and using a HDMI to DVI-D cable.
Secondly i do not have another console and my friends are playing only on PC. Then again to think about it the issue i only have this problem with Mass Effect 3. I already contact EA and they told me a stupid answer that games uses diffrent contact points on my cable. I am getting really tired of this issue and it cost me lot's of time.
I have also tried the following things.
Clear the cache.
Removed the Mass Effect 3 (temporarly copied my savegame too the cloud server) folder and after that reinstalled the 2 discs and redownload the DLC and Online Pass.
Reconnect the cable.

Maybe i am stupid but the graphic card can only be updated either if EA/ Bioware sending a patch or if Xbox send a update for the console. Remember this relative to Xbox 360 and not PC.

I saw that two nights ago. My game froze so I powered down my xbox then powered it back up and started the game. Got some strange white/colored blocks in horizontal lines across the black screen before the game went to the start screen itself.
Unfortunately you can't update the graphics card in a 360. The only way to upgrade it is to have the 360's come out with brand new graphics cards, new motherboards, the whole 9 yards. Frankly the 360 is 7 years old by now and the subsequent releases of the system like the slim have not had any technological updates to it other than the smaller design, quieter running and less overheating and getting rid of the red ring of death problem. They haven't updated the motherboard, they haven't updated the graphics card, and they haven't done much else with the system.
Currently PC and PS3 outstrip the 360 in graphics by far because Microsoft has refused to update their system specs in over 7 years. Even the PS3 has better specs and the PS3 slims have had updated hardware over it's lifespan. Yes I like the 360 but seriously if you are going to release several iterations of the same console over a 7 year life span the system needs hardware updates in each iteration to keep up with gaming.
Just some food for thought.

It happened a lot to me but seemed to have calmed down.
It replaces the image of Earth on fire just before the start screen right?
Hasn't happened to me in a while though...

It's happened to me a handful of times...ever since I had to do a hard power down after a lockup. Thought it was E74 myself as well till it quickly went away. I swear the game made me feel like I was playing Skyrim in space one night with all it's random glitches and lockups.

Happened to me a lot during the demo. Hasn't done it in the full game yet...or at least, not that i've noticed.
I'm on an Xbox Slim.

I got too a local hardware store today too look for another cable and they obviously don't know what they are talking about and i got this stupid answer:
The people there told me it could be because my PC monitor (samsung P2050) supports nothing higher then 1600x900 (16:9) resolution and i have my xbox settings on 1920x1080 will not be supported.
It's rather stupid to see they do not know what people are talking about because it's their job. I tried 1440x900 instead but that will give me small black stripes both on up and downside op my monitor.
I used this 1920x1080 for over more then 2 years and never give me simular problems before and only happens to Mass Effect 3.

I got this too a couple of times. Don't worry about it, it's probably nothing.
