I support the choice for a happy ending, the more choices for different endings the better.

And yeah, life sucks as it is, a happy ending for ME3 as one of the options would just lift my spirits up in real life, is that such a horrible wish to have?

But what I mostly want is an ending that does not destroy the whole series, they said the ending was going to be bittersweet... How on earth is any of these endings anything other than extreamly tragic. There is nothing sweet about them.

I fully support a happy ending for this trilogy, specifically for those people who want it. Some people play this game to escape the troubles of the day. Some people just want to be a hero and come out unscathed. I think the option should be there, and I definitely would have loved a happy ending for this game. I think this game deserves a happy ending. It should be an option in my humble opinion.

I concur wholeheartedly, though at this point I would be satisfied with some closure and clarification from Bioware, however I fully support a happy ending. It just makes sense to me to implenent many possible conclusions in a series that has been focused on making choices and the consequences of them...sure the end goal is the same and it's a war story, but come on, a lot of people wanted to have a happy ending for their Shepard...why not include the option? I don't understand why Bioware didn't include the option of having at least a somewhat happy ending...they kinda dropped the ball thereImage IPB. I would've loved to have at least had the option of a happy ending, and am disappointed at the lack of one.

Moon, Bioware's thinking is if they give those like you the 'closure/explanation' ending that you and others like you will be satisfied and go over to the 'Mass Effect 3 is the greatest game ever' camp and cause in fighting among those who want the better ending. This will cause a schism and disolve the movement. If we continue to fight and don't settle for just a 'closure/explanation' ending DLC and demand that we get the original 16 different endings that we were initially promised along with the closure/explanation then we have truly won. However by giving in, by letting them split us apart they have won.

Our best bet is to not let Bioware get away with this. I want that happyish ending and I want the ending for those who just want explanation/closure. But I'm not going to be satisfied with just the explanation/closure because that isn't what I want.

I think most people do not understand how important a happy ending is. And what Bioware has done in creating such distress through these endings is almost criminal. I know this sounds dramatic, but hear me out -

When I read what people are saying, experiencing, and feeling, I think of how amazing it is that a video game could create so much emotion. I also think that creating this much suffering is terrible. We in the next generation know that thoughts and emotions are energy that manifest reality. We have inherited a polluted, violent world and the only way that we are going to make things better in the future is by “being the change we want to see in the world”. We now know that hate, jealousy, grief and anxiety creates frequencies of destruction and chaos and that love, tolerance and joy (like when we PLAY) creates frequencies that have been reported to create spontaneous healing – this information is increasingly documented in renowned medical centres in the USA like Stanford (see Bruce Lipton Biology of Belief) who are publishing their findings and proving that Einstein was right – Everything IS Energy, including our thoughts, and emotions. So why not give us a choice to feel what we want to feel? But most of all, why not spread LOVE and HOPE?

I know some considered the endings “mature”. But here’s the thing. Accepting that nothing lasts, that everything is doomed either way, that “that’s the way it goes”, is not mature. Refusing to give up is not foolish, or childish. It makes us idealists, yes, but hey, it’s not the cynics who change the world.

Agreed Chris, I want the option as well. Regardless of the happy ending, the aftermath of all of this is horrible enough to make it bittersweet.

I support this because ME1 and ME2 had "Happy" endings. Did you save the council? Did you survive Sovereign's debris crashing through? Did you survive the Suicide mission with no casualties? If yes, you have had happy endings for the previous two games. Why not a choice of a happy ending in the third?

This. Whether you like the existing ending or not, a trilogy about player choice requires a wide variety of endings.

Although I think supporting a "happy" ending is literally telling Bioware to completely change the philosophy of the ending (that you have to sacrifice yourself in a dramatic manner that has long lasting repurcussions which will most likely be sad), it is so confusing to me that so much of the game revolves around the idea of hope (all of his squad mates saying they'll make it through, Eve giving Shepard the trinket, saving the Geth, Quarians and the Krogan to build a better future for themselves, etc.) that then is just completely extinguished without explanation or prologue.

I like the idea of "different endings" but i also feel some endings should be objectively "better" than others. Having failure be an option is important because it makes your success more real. The endings as they stand do not have enough difference between "bad" endings and "good" endings (like one clip where london is more charred).

I favor the choice of having happy ending so Shepard can feel truly like a hero and retire and get married ... and die of old age....come on Bioware seriously you had ruined in RGB endings

I think they should add a happy ending. This is just so wrong to have Shepard go through all of this pain and suffering (from all 3 games) and not even have a chance of little happiness? I know this is just a game and i should be happy that we got what we got, but I'M NOT. We have 3 choices that end up almost the same way (Shepard dying). Why can't Shep survive and some of the crew and LI be (not saying all) with him?
Thank you very much BioWare...I loved the game, but you just made 1 ending which a really, really small part of the community like..I don't even think i will play the game as much as i played 2. Knowing what will happen in the end will just kill my interest in playing it. I hope someone else is on my side with this..

Of course we're all in support for a happy ending, I don't think that what we want was on the list in the first place.

I completely agree. I don't think there are too many fans that would not what to see their Shepar(s) take all of his or her friends up on that offer of drinks after the reapers are destroyed. I say it should also end with choice dialog (and absolution with the players love interest).

Happy ending or bust.

We need it, and Liara needs it. Look at her. Is that what you want, BioWare? Liara weeping because she can't see Shepard again?

True enough. The reapers winning should be one ending-option . Patched versions of the three-colored endings should be options (if the devs really wants to keep them), then there should be the rejection option, where Shepard challenges and rejects the god-childs conclusion and gets the option to end it differently depending on earlier accomplishments (basically renegade or paragon flavoured). These last endings should be survivable and not leading to all the relays exploding. They should also involve returning to earth to join up with your team and LI.

As this is a story about sacrifice, hope and companionship/working together despite being different, it should be reflected in the endings. There will always be a strong element of sacrifice, but it does not need to include Shepard and his surviving team getting killed. The sacrifice is already made by the those having died to give the rest a chance (Mordin, Thane, Legion, Anderson, entire populations and resistance fighters buying shepard time with their lives + other optional deaths)  and those dying in the final confrontation (I imagine a significant portion of the fleet was wiped out in the final battle. would it not be great with a cut-scene where damaged ships are ramming reapers? Hacketts dreadnought, badly damaged and venting atmosphere going down - crashing into Harbinger destroying them both to save a Quarian liveship -if they are present - , or Shepard on the Presidium or whatnot).

I really need only two things. Survival options for Shepard in the Paragon and Synthesis endings. Heck, we get the mysterious survival ending for the Renegades, why not a Shep waking up with the Synthesis outcome? For the Paragon ending, I'm really not getting why the disintegration occurs, especially when he's supposed to become some kind of Reaper...what does he end up becoming???

It just kills me that the only way we can pull through it is to pull a dick move like killing EDI (who's tech is partially Reaper based) and the Geth (who's sentience is based on Reaper code)....

i agree the option for a happy ending SHOULD be there, but it should be nut breaking hard to get... not just go around n collect all the war assets, but that you have to make smart decisions AND shoot well to get it. then itll be worth it couse you get a happy ending and can feel super bad ass about it

The choice of one - it won't kill it for people who prefer endings that aren't considered the traditional kind of happy, and it gives those who want one the option.
And I want to retire somewhere tropical with Garrus damn it. With lots of like Wrex's running around. While EDI and Joker argue in the background like an old married couple.

*sighs* I should really go to sleep now..

I support an happy ending, just as well as i support a bad ending. Shepards need to be able to get both and some other inbetween. Choices is what should matter in the end.
