I Support Unhappy Endings for Mass Effect 3
I Support Neutral Endings for Mass Effect 3.
Basically, I support adding more endings!

I can't think of anything more boring for Shepard than to settle down with their love interest.
I'm sorry, but Shepard has the most advanced ship in the galaxy, war and fighting is all he or she has known, they've spent the past 3-4 years fighting the greatest threat the galaxy has ever known, and the galaxy is left in tatters and need fixing.
Its not feasible Shepard would just retire with his LI, and to me it isn't a good ending, nor is it a creative one.
He doesn't have to retire. Just give us the prospect of him staying alive and reuniting with his friends, whatever he does after that can be left to speculation.
Well put
But have a look here:

They are still making excuses about the ending and refuse to give us better endings, still refuse to accept how lam and how bad the endings are.

Yeah, I've already said my goodbyes to Mass Effect, pretty much. I don't expect to find to the extended cut ending DLC very satisfying.
But...I do hold a faint bit of hope.

It does not even have to be a super duper happy ending (how can it be anyway?), but just an ending where absolutely everyone isn't royally screwed would be nice. To know the sacrifices were not for nothing...
Although, I'm not going to lie, an option for an ending where Kaidan and I reunite and live happily ever after would be awesome.

And it doesn't have to show him settling down or carrying on, just being with. What he gets up to next (after taking a well-earned break of course!) is exactly the sort of thing that it's fine to leave up to the players to speculate about because it's past the scope of this story. Their Shepard can live the rest of his life however the player wants him or her to. Anyway, no matter what he gets up to next Shepard still needs a home to unwind in. No-one is on duty all the time.Vigil_N7 wrote...

Oh, and it should go without saying that it would be a really bad idea to make this variant on Destroy only accessible to Multiplayers

I don't really see allowing for a happy ending as changing the endings, as much as tweaking the consequences/epilogues. It involves neither getting rid of the Catalyst nor changing/adding to the Destroy/Control/Synthesis options. The core of the current endings remains intact. All it involves is an extra 'tier' to the destroy ending with high enough EMS, to allow for the Geth/EDI to survive, followed by an epilogue cutscene of Shep being reunited with LI or whatever. I'd be fine with the idea of the Mass Relays etc taking much longer to rebuild, or whatever the trade off is.

They say they want to have an open ending to connect to the next game, but have they even thought about since we are not satisfy with this ending, we are not going to buy the next game.
