I got my Arcane Warrior to lvl 14 so they finally have shimmering shield

So I decided to put it to the test

I went and tried to solo Flemeth 3x

1st time I got killed by her move where she puts you in her mouth and chomps on you and spits you out from 100 feet in the air , got her to about 70% health

2nd time I got killed by same move , got her down to about 5% health (Was awesome)

3rd time I got killed by the same move again but only got her to like 80% health

At this point theres still alot of potion chugging going on to pull this off , but I hear people talk about soloing dragons like they pulled it off without ever even nearly getting killed

So at what point will I be able to solo a dragon w/o almost getting killed or getting killed?

I would imagine that once I have lifeward , cleansing aura ,  (Fade shroud passive ability) , Miasma , and glyph of warding that THEN it might be easy to pull off safely

Am I right on that? Or did you all go solo a dragon just as soon as you got  shimmering shield w/o getting all of your sustaineds you planned on getting yet?

Edit : 4th try went about the same as the 1st & 3rd try , that eating you alive and spitting you out from 100 feet in the air thing is instant game over at this point

5th try I tried to just stay back the whole time and then I said eh screw that ran up to her and she killed me with that stupid move again lol

6th try tried to stay back and just shoot a staff at her lol , eventually I was casting a spell mid fireball when I accidently had low hp and got killed

7th try... lol went for same technique of just standing back and hiding but forgot to bring a staff and got killed lol

What are you wearing? I would suggest massive armor, a good shield, and get Fade Shroud (lvl 16). And use Telekinetic weapons and all the other mage buffs you have available.

And yes, Miasma would make it much easier.

Warden commanders armor (Silverite)

I'm only lvl 14 I just want to see if I can pull this off before fade shroud amongst other improvements XD

I hid at long distance and used warmth balm for extra fire resistance and just kept doing long distance dmg to her lol

It's much easier when you can keep her incapacitated most of the time. Misdirection hex, cone of cold and all that. Just whacking her with a sword isn't a good idea.

Using your brain rather than feeding yourself to the dragon is cheating?  I've been playing the game wrong this whole time, then.

yep flameth doesnt move so if you got some good fire res you can happy range her... even her move that pull you nearer make you hit the ground in front of her preventing you to land on her mouth

Oh that's easy I can solo those no problem with my Arcane Warrior, I have a custom Tailored set specifically for the Arcane Warrior class. Nice massive armor with nice stat boosts for the Arcane Warrior. For a sword give him Starfang and Branka's Shield or Shield of the Legion will work fine. Other then that just get the best accessories you can afford.

Well I just killed the high dragon with my whole party



Now the only dragons left is well



The last one and thats just stupid , wouldn't be stupid but the part where 10,000 darkspawn come to help him would be really stupid I'm sure



I guess I can try to solo that Gaxkang guy sometime , at least he doesn't eat your characters face and spit him from 100 feet in the air lol
