Will i lose anything by choosing to take Dr Michel instead of Chakwas? I will get a war asset worth 10pts if i leave Chakwas in RnD, while i don't get any war asset from Dr Michel if i take Chakwas. But i don't know if it is worth it if i miss out on something later on. I have always taken Dr Chakwas only learnt you can take the other Doctor recently

Chakwas gives you War Assests but only about 5 or 10.

In the long run though, each gives you a different mission that can effect your medigel. While Michel is only capable of increasing your medigel capacity, Chakwas gives you higher quality medigel (So you don't necessarily use up one for every injury or squad revive).

Is there any banter between Garrus and Michel in the game? I've seen Garrus wander about the ship chatting, but never seen the two talk and after the ME1 (Fist) and ME2 email she sent I'd expect something.

They don't actually talk to each other as far as I know. But if you take Garrus with you onto the Geth/reaper dreadnought in the Rannoch arc, he mentions to Tali that Dr. Michel got him some dextro chocolates.

You can also apparently ask Michel about her feelings or relationship with Garrus, but this was only in the leaked script and I personally cannot confirm if it's in game.

Michel and Adams have a chat when Mordin's on the ship. She reveals a bit about her past events in ME1 I believe.

Do you mean Chakwas and Adams? Because if not, Chakwas and Adams also have a convo in the bunk area of level 3.

I've seen Adams and Michel chatting, but not seen her chat with Garrus. Surprising since I've seen him all over that deck at one point or another. Would like a poker game though.

Nope I mean Michel. They also have a full blown debate in the mess hall as to the differences of synthetic and organic life, you can pick a side.

It's likely Chakwas and Michel have the same convo triggers but with different flavours.

If you want to 'meta-game' it, picking Michel ensures she and Chakwas survive (in theory). Picking Chakwas sends Michel to her doom seeing what happens at end-game.

Pick Dr. Michel. You only get the Dr. Chakwas War Asset if you leave Chakwas behind and recruit Michel; the reverse is not the case (Michel never becomes a War Asset).

With Michel, I also got research intel good for either a +health bonus armor upgrade or a store discount (IIRC) along w/ the Medi-gel capacity upgrade.

The only thing you miss by taking Michel is the interaction before the end game where you get drunk w/ Chakwas .

God they've become that couple in the bar in Illium...and presumably Shepard is the human the Quarian complains about 'ooh she might get sick...'

In my play through Garrus and Tali do talk about the Chocolate Michel gave Garrus.

take Chakwas with you on the ship, there is a nice conversation scene there that references ME2

I felt like a jerk for rejecting Chakwas in my latest playthrough. She really wants to join while you have to coax Dr. Michel into leaving the hospital.

I hear you, but I believe that is deliberate.  You also should leave VS behind if they survive the coup attempt even though they desperately want to join you.  War Assets are much better than an extra squad mate.

how do you make Michel join you? I was never a big fan of Chakwas all the way from ME1 to now, I remember trying to reject Chakwas and then talking to Michel and did not got an option (or must have missed it??)

You have to tell Chakwas to stay on the citadel. At first the conversation wheel will not allow you to pick the conversation that will get her to join the Normandy. I checked again after every mission and eventually it highlighted and I was able to recruit her.

So it takes several missions for it to happen? like after Palaven or so?
