Legion was one of the most interesting characters in the series, only matched by Prothy the Prothean. It's a shame you can't even pick a single one of your good old teammates from ME1 (Wrex) or ME2 (Mordin, Legion, heck not even your former LI from ME2) to join your team.

Shepard pardoned Gabby and Donnally. he could have pardoned Miranda and had her join the alliance to serve on the normandy again

Well, considering Legion brought true AI to all Geth I kind of consider all current geth his kids kind of, so a Legion 2.0 aka one of his kids would be nice along with Jack aka Subject Zero. Would also see Kasumi Goto with a bit more fleshing out of her character in dept.

Kind of hard choosing one of those three but it I had to, it would be Jack that won out.

Ken and Gabs were formally part of the Alliance though so maybe that 's why they were allowed to rejoin. I don't think Miranda ever had Alliance connections.

I would've liked to see any of them as squadmates really.  I always loved Grunt, Legion and Mordin and missed having a Krogan on the squad. I liked Miranda got a lot of use out her in my teams too. Jack and Samara got even more interesting to me as characters and I would've liked to have seen more of them. It would've been fun storywise to be able to have any combination of love interests that you can choose interact as a team.

I was actually expecting a lot of temporary squadmates and have it implemented like in LotSB or when EDI insists she come with you to the Cerberus base. I usually pick characters based on their role in the story more than favouritism so I would've suited me.

Being able to pick and choose a handful of any of them to be your squad for the game would've been great, though obviously they'd have to record a ton of dialogue for that.

Alternatively, the new Jack would not have been a terrible option. But we really needed a krogan. Specifically, a krogan battlemaster. You know, like Wrex. A third pure combat character, especially one that was almost exactly like James Vega, is not ideal, but any krogan is better than none.

well, they didnt have a problem with her helping torward the end, just gave her some akward looks, if Shepard vouched for her, they probably would have let her join. And considering she is the biggest reason Shepard came back,the least they could do is let her serve with him on the Normandy SR2

My Shepard convinced her that TIM was using her just like her father was using her, even though they might distrust her for being a high ranking cerberus operative, I think her personaly handing Shepard the mine to put in the Collectors reactor to ****** off TIM was her official renouncing of Cerberus

And I wanted a damned chance to do something to help him (get him the lung transplants, get him the "lung medigel" mentioned in the game, etc.) so he survived, even if it was a Virmire type trade off (spend the time saving him and another team member dies, for whatever asinine reason BioWare could come up with since they have a thing for killing everyone).

I would not have liked grunt at all in my squad, they changed his voice actor in ME3 (french version) and gave him the voice of a 15 year old instead of the manly voice he had before

Sorry inner childishness couldn't resist. Uhmm if I had to pick I would say Grunt. I can see why no Wrex, it makes alot of sense game wise. Grunt is just awesome, and you can never have to much head butting awesomeness. Also that drunk email message he sends when him and his men are celebrating after taking down the rachni queen is awesome. Have definitely done similar things myself.
