Miranda and Grunt. ME3 needed an awesome Aussie super-**** (i say that with love, lol) and a badass Krogan wrecking ball.
I didn't even use Vega that much during my playthrough.

i'm gonna go with Jack. seeing as it makes the most sense in context with the story the way it is.

Miranda is off doing her own thing, same with Grunt and samara. Jack joins the damn alliance and becomes a teacher? sure you help save her and her students, then she could join the crew. seems logical enough.

In any case, I thought it was a very...curious....decision to basically get rid of all the ME2 characters and bring back only the "core" ME1 characters (minus Wrex) as your squad + Vega.
