It has some weak points every now and then, but overall the game is good...

...until the last 5 minutes - then the game goes full retard and loses any semblance of having been a good game at all.

Pros:
Tight gameplay and controls (guns and powers)
Interesting level design (some levels have vertical elements etc.)
Interesting and different ememies (not just one type.  Each enemy type uses a different tactic)
Fun and challenging enemy AI (played on hardcore)
I loved the kinect functionality (using voice to command crew was super fun)
Great sound and soundtrack
Emotional story
Great character development
Choices from the first game really have an impact
Choices in Mass 3 are difficult to make
Powerful, emotional ending.

Cons:
Some side missions feel "empty"
Planet scanning was not fun for me (good thing this is optional)

Side notes:
-If you can, pick up the novels (you can download them from itunes).  They will add some interesting backstory to some of the characters and locations that you see in Mass Effect 3.  It was cool to finally see some of those characters from the novel.
-Also read the comics (you can get them in digital form).  They will fill in some of the story between games etc.

you forgot a Cons, the most important one: ending will make you want to "not live on this planet anymore"

BSG ending was pure gold on comparison

Not so.  I liked the ending and still want to live on this planet.

Most people liked the game. Most people didn't like the ending.

Good for you, but please realize you are a minority (like the 1%). All the pople that care about mass effect HATED it, to say the least...

Not necessarily. I'm sure you would like to believe that, but you guys are just more vocal (this is always the case). Most of us who enjoyed the ending are simply moving on, too busy playing another game, or rolling a new Shepard. Not on the boards.  To be honest, there is really no way to reliably determine who is in the minority here.

So, please realize that your opinion is valid, but is not necessarily  a reflection of the entire Mass Effect community.

It's a great game if you're not one of those tards that plays video games solely for the ending, in which case you will be extremely disappointed. Everything else is exceptional.

Everything except for the ending is top notch. Most of the haters dislike the game entirely because of the ending, which is beyond stupid IMO, but that's just me.

Very good. You may likely have problems with the endings, but playing is absolutely worth it, so much amazing content in this game

The game is fantastic. By far the best of the trilogy. So many memorable moments, I'd post all day if I attempted to list them all. As I said elsewhere, ME3 is a milestone in interactive storytelling.

Except, yeah, how it ends. The final scenes with Shepard are incredibly beautiful and emotionally engaging, but the side effects of your decisions have the potential to retroactively taint everything. Whether they will work for you, I wouldn't dare guess.

On Metacritic ME3 has a score of 3.6/10... just for comparison fallout3 has 7.8/10... gg bioware

Before the last ten minute segment of the game, I was ready to give the whole thing an 11/10. After that sequence, I'd give it an overall score of 9.5/10. My suggestion: once you charge down to get beamed up into the Citadel, just turn off the game. That's what I'm going to do in the NG+ I'm playing right now, because the ending is better in my head.

Before the final mission I was willing to rate it an 8.5

Assets don't matter so we wasted 27.5 hours doing things for no reason other than to give time to build something while the galaxy decays.

The only negatives that I have are the last 5 minutes, 2 quest that bugged out so I couldn't do it and spacebar is the everything key which can at times be really annoying in co-op. Other than that, the game is friggin awesome.

I am torn about it, if we disregard multiplayer (which if included would put it as the second best of the ME games, after ME1 of course), I would put it around par with ME2 or possibly inferior, some elements of it are just bad, other parts were extremely well done and had me almost clapping at the quality and execution.

The endings that completely ignore the 27+ hours you spent building up assets and then just throw you a generic force that dies no matter what?

Take away the ending and nearly everyone will agree that It is extremely good. Emotions are high and gameplay combat is fluid. Meeting characters from ME1 & 2 feels like meeting old friends.

With or without the ending in my book, this game is 9/10

I did like the game, and though it is getting old, the ending can be quite disappointing.
And one thing I liked a lot of in this game was the MP. It was and is loads of fun.

Truly amazing. I'm playing from ME1 again, but I dabbled a bit in 3 to cure my itch, and going back is such a time-warp. Everything has come on so much since ME1!

Everyone is saying good bye to you before the final push...

"This is it"
"This is the end"
"Bye"

Just because you brought everyone doesnt mean you can win... remember how much it took to take down Sovereign? There were at least 8 Sovereign class Reapers there, Harbinger is among them.

So... I pretty much didnt think I can make it out alive. All I can hope for is to break the cycle and hope to free other organics this ordeal.

You seem to misunderstand my approach to war assets. They were secondary and not of any importance in the sense you have no idea in character, in that world and that situation how any assets whether large or small will impact such a vast battle. They showed what happened with what you have. They could of given you a million assets, you still would of lost people and it could of still played out in a similer way. I wonder if you are coming at it as a character role playing in that world or just an outside force not character, one who knows everything he missed and is complaining about his god like overview status of seeing what he did not have as opposed to experiencing it through the eyes of your character in the story they wanted to tell.

The ending in TW2 had similar scale of unresolved content and in sense both protaganists in character immersed in the world would not know what happens in a place he is not present, what happens after someone passes away is not for the eyes of the one who does so, yet both that title and this one from me score 9/10.
