This one would like to highlight the decades old scam commonly known in the Terminus systems as the Batarian conch game.

....

The Protean half-crown is never seen again in the round.

A few call the performance of the Batarian conch game a form of performance art. They are found later in an alley beaten by Vorcha.

I've heard of another even better scam. In this one you have to spend credits to buy a virtual currency called 'Points'. These Points are then used to buy upgrades for your character in a co-operative multiplayer combat game. However, these upgrades are distributed randomly in things called packs. According to the volus cramming the numbers for me, you could spend 100,000 points and not get the upgrades you wanted.

Whoa, how'd this little gem slip under my radar? Nicely done, OP.

P.S., I think you're long overdue for a salarian guest speaker ;)

There's a salarian professor on faculty, though he usually teaches by video conference. Salarians tend to have run ins with varren around here. Guy teaches marketing.

Most krogan students think that it's quite ironic a salarian would teach marketing. As you know in the ancient krogan language of South Tuchanka, the word for marketing is also the word for lying depending on how it's used.

I recently had a good chat with merchant Morlan about your analysis of the situation. He was quite enthusiastic you would love to hear his opinion on the matter. *hint hint*

As you know the customer is always right or as they say it back home:

"More satisfied customers in the shopping plazas means fewer shopkeepers in Tuchanka's medical wards."
- Book of Old Krogan Proverbs

Human game developers should consider themselves lucky not to have many krogan in their fanbase. Last year a krogan studio released Thresher Maw Age 2 and it didn't turn out too well. The development team had to seek refuge from Wrex himself when a mob of krogan gamers showed up with claymores. Good thing for them Wrex doesn't play video games.

Today we're going to talk about demeanor when dealing with the public. Every year we hold a workshop for "Media/Public Relations and Krogan Mixed Martial Arts" here on Tuchanka. This year, we were fortunate to have as a participant Ms. Khalisah Bint Sinan al-Jilani of Westerlund News. She came to polish up her hand-to-hand combat skills, our other clients learned how to deal with snide critics with questions.

In the workshop, participants were asked to roleplay an alliance commander facing some hard questions from al-Jilani over what went wrong on the botched ending to a mission. We were  very disappointed when each one of the students decided to take an aggressive stance towards their critic. Of course that reporter provoked them, she's pretty good at trolling.

The volus tried to sound superior pointing out his training in millitary arts and the integrity of the millitary vision, the krogan attacked the reporter using the strawman that those responsible had worked hard and that critics were hurting their morale,  the human resorted to personal attacks on people that wanted to know about failures so they could be fixed were a bunch of whining entitled bleeding heart brats, the turian shifted attention by saying that a panel of volus millitary experts had given the plan 75 perfect scores.

Al Jilani, an intelligent critic, when she wants to be, called each student out on their half-truths and silly arguments, causing the mixed martial arts section of our session to begin. The volus kicked the woman in the shin. He thought it was hilarious until she pushed him onto his back and he couldn't get up again. "**Heavy Wheeze**, Help me Earth-clan. **Heavy Wheeze** I've fallen and I can't get up." It will be some time before we do another roleplay exercise at the school.

I had never been so disappointed to a response to legitmate criticism. If I were human I would do that thing they do when the put their face in their paw. Again, failure to accept criticism with candor drags both you and your critics into a morass. But really it makes you look worse than the critics.

Happily, Ms. al-Jilani did earn the highest rating ever for a guest reporter in the martial arts portion of the workshop. She learned to sidesteap and uppercut quite effectively.
