It's funny how the couple of people on this thread who brough up points supporting him have been totally ignored. Just because you have three choices doesn't mean that there are only three endings. There are many more depending on the choices you made throughout all three games. They may be small, sure, but there are definitely more than three endings. The only falsity in his statement is him saying that you can't say how many there are. There is a finite amount. But there are more than three.

Please, do list the different endings. Paste the IGN post that lists all the so vastly different 16 endings!

Seriously tho, it's not about the exact number of endings, it's not about Shepard dying (or dozing off in the rubble in the middle of the fight). It's about the fact that the end just brings up more questions, why did everything that happened happen and what happens next? How's the krogan doing now with the cure and how do the quarians like their houses? Something.

I admit that if the ending was simply put "Reapers won, everything died, the cycle continues".
I personally would've been fine with it, actually I was expecting that in some way.

There would've been no questions about why is your crew flying for a holiday while you're choosing your favourite color with the depressed ghost child.

I can understand simply being unable to deliver a good ending, it is not easy and deadlines are tough. It is unfortunate, but it is a honest fail in itself.

But to willingly move towards the opposite direction you have promised you would? I am very disappointed, although I'm still hoping for some clarifying feedback.

ME3's ending is not the ending. The DLC they're going to release will be the ending. There's too much opportunity for them to make that at this point, I bet that's what he is referring to.

After seeing what was in the new iOS app about the final days, I have revised my view of the ending.

I Think the lie was when he stated that there would be 'many' endings. There are not. There is in fact only 1 ending. The Reapers Win. Nothing you did in the previous games mattered, nothing you did in this game mattered. The Reapers end up completing the cycle.

The whole what button deal was a dream as you are bleeding out on earth. The fact that your loved one is on Normandy even if they were with you is your mind reassuring you that "joker would get them all safe". Nothing is real after the blast near the beam. The Destroy ending with 4k+ assets shows your last shuddering breath as you die.

The Stargazer is either that last thought/dream as you fade out or is another race far in the future that has found Liara's time capsule and is telling the story of the Reapers to a child. Maybe they think it is all a myth or maybe they do not have the tech to do anything yet, either way the Shepard has become a mythological figure.

Yeah, credibility is zero, and he's got no one to blame but himself.

Instead of raging at the fans and getting snooty about it, maybe he should really think about being responsible for what he says, and recognize that it's now up to him to earn our trust back.

Invisible differences are not differences.  Look at the first link on my sig.  Look, Big Ben is standing in the first one!  The soldier is vaporized in the third one!  If you think this is what we were led to believe by "so many different endings based on your actions," you have been indoctrinated.

Funny thing is, i would also love one of those shirts, actually two of em, and yet, if we wore them, pretty sure wed get problems for slander or something like that.

But videogame developers? Blatant lies that could go into the realm of being called fraud, no one can do a thing.

If they are so small they are insignificant then they might as well not exist.

It's like saying you get "hundreds" of ways to take down enemies as there are 12 sniper rifles, 8 smg's (and so on).
