No, he's a liar. Read what he says in Final Hours compared to what he promised pre-release.

I gave him the benefit of the doubt, perhaps he simply wasn't aware that the writers pulled this on us. But Final Hours shows quite clearly that this is what Hudson intended.

I could care less if he respects me, but he had better respect the fact that he screwed his customers and his studio's future is riding on this.  Furthermore, if he lied in a press release or interview, blatantly as he did, then he IS a liar.   What, I'm just supposed to accept his lie because he's in a position of power?

I'm sorry, but the man lied.  He told us something that he knew was false.  I don't know any other way to spin this aside from calling it like it is.  We were flat out told something that was not true.  A lot of people are upset about this, and rightfully so.  Calling him out on this isn't being disrespectful, it's being truthful.

its what he did... I'm sorry but that just it.. he said one thing and it turned out be another.    He insulted himself when he thought that  this was good idea... do I hate him? nope, do I wish ill will on him or his  family? not all I wish him and them all good health and happiness  

Will I believe a word that comes out his  as consumer looking to buy his product.?  Hell No.  
Because the fact remains that he was not honest, he said they would not do one thing and they did exactly the opposite. 

Now would release a DLC  to fix and just owning up to the fact that screwed the pooch  help  in recovering some of the trust of the fans and ultimately the people who buy and support their products.... yes it would.
Would it fix it overnight?" No too many people, too pissed off after so much.

He didn't lie.  He promised something, and then didn't follow up on it.

There's a difference, albeit, it still looks bad for him in the end.

I just don't think running around saying "CASEY HUDSON IS A LIAR" will get us anywhere.  I think we we keep quoting what he promised, people will draw the line for themselves.  We're better than this. We can point out hte falicies without throwing out timless, petty insults.

Wait, its a fact he lied, quite a lot in fact. That was not "being wrong".

So because hes probably one of the people wholl decide what to do with this ending fiasco (which i doubt he had nothing to do with btw) we should just make nice and not say something thats the truth? Id rather be honest here.

Because.... he is a liar, that is a truth based on the interviews weve been given, not trying to insult him or anything, stating facts.

Its amazing how you can actually see that the ending goes exactly against what we were told it would be, its hilarious.

Just as an expansion, that phenomenal picture of the "A,B,C" quote. It wasn't demeaning, it didn't outright call him a liar, and it wasn't insulting, it just pointed out a HUGE failure in what he said.

We don't need to stoop down to the level of "HE'S AN IDIOT LETS MAKE T-SHIRTS" about it. We want to be seen as mature gamers protesting something. Running around calling people liars and hacks will only start to get us bad publicity again.

Yes, they had been discussing the endings up until the END of 2011, so jperhaps you could explain what he REALLY meant to say when he did this interview in JANUARY OF 2012.  
"Yeah, and I'd sy much more so, because we have the ability to build the endings out in a way that we don't have to worry about tying them back together somewhere.  This story arc is coming to an end with this game.  That means the endings can be a lot more different.  At this point we're taking into account so many decisions that you've made as a player and reflecting a lot of that stuff.  It's not even in any way like the traditional game endings, where you can say how many endings there are or whether you got ending A, B, or C...the endings have a lot more sophistication and variety in them.."

Why would they lie to us? The thing about they went out of money is not true....its not like they make a game in chronological order. Often they do everything at once because they have a plan with it....a script.....So WHY did he lie????? Im waiting for an answer.

I'm bumping this. Why? Because everyone is saying the whole going to the FTC was a step to far. You know what? When the lead developer of a game actively misleads consumers about the content of the game, that is the appropriate response. That is why these places exist, to protect people from companies that try to take advantage of them.

Just a reminder really, this isn't just "we didn't like the ending, change it." This is "you blatantly lied and mislead us about the ending, give us what you promised."
