She kills herself if you side with the Geth on the Rannoch mission. If you do and dont have enough par/rega score to fix it, the Geth wipe out the entire Quarian fleet.

Damn, You beat me to it.

But if that happened, I would have:

1. Gone up to my cabin
2. looked at the picture
3. Fainted (IRL)
4. Woken-up
5. And I would hug my shiny collectors edition of the game

If that's supposed to be Tali, why does the neck look too short for her suit? Bad Photoshop is bad and I hope they got the person's permission to use the photo.

Yeah and why don't her eyes glow?

As much as I'm butthurt about ME3 right now, am I like the only person that didn't find this to be any sort of an issue?

I find tali to be one of the coolest characters in ME3, have always wanted a reveal, but this really didnt' bother me.

It didn't bother me. Also, it's not like they hid that they used stock photos in the game. Getty Images is clearly credited for providing stock images in the game's credits. Lying about it would be the only thing that bothered me. Ultimately, I'm happy with the photo, though I was personally hoping they would never show us her face and only Shepard would ever see it--not even us, as audience. So that preference might be informing my opinion on the issue.

God, that version of events ripped my stomach out when I saw it on YouTube. So glad it didn't turn out that way in my play through. Absolutely heartrenching presentation.

the other question that needs to be raised, when was this taken? If they can't survive long w/o their suits how did tali take a picture of her presumably completely out of her suit and not be complaining about being sick. Oh wait i forgot ME3 was a giant plot hole waiting to happen.

Lots of Immuno Boosters as stated in Mass Effect 2.  So not giant plot hole here.  Plus her homeworld as stated in Mass Effect 2 "Disease Free" due to no insects.  They already had a weak immune system,  the Floatilla just weakened their immune system even more to wear suits.

There are no plot holes in Mass Effect 3 everything was covered from Mass Effect 1-3.  The ending gave us fans which raged about the Ending of Mass Effect 1.  What was going on in the mind of someone being Indoctrinated???  And Mass Effect 3, Bioware gave us ragers of Mass Effect 1 what we finally wanted....  Shepherd indoctrinated.

I'm not mad about it really, the interpretation of Tali is quite nice. I think most are annoyed that Bioware chose to grab and edit a stock image to give a face to a fan favorite character who we've all been wanting to see the face of since the original game.

They should have been far more creative when dealing with Tali's true face.

When Legion wants to upgrade the Geth, if you can't talk the Quarians down. They get massacered by the Geth and seeing the genocide of her people she jumps off a cliff. Thank Pele I didn't get that in my game, I don't know what I would have done.

pretty sure at some point tali mentions that even if they retook rannoch it would be generations before they could live without their suits. That's where my confusion came from

It shows people were in a rage and forgot the whole Mass Effect 1-3.  When I was not even raging anymore.  I am in total Bliss.  Bioware gave us Ragers what we wanted at the end of Mass Effect 1 always wanted.....  Shepherd Indoctrinated.

Yep, but she also says that the Geth, who have been living on Rannoch for generations, are using technology after the peace is made in order to help their immune systems adjust at a far more rapid rate than originally anticipated.

You mean you being unable to respond is ridiculous right? you know when someones lost when they say "I won't dignify that with a response" lol...

What about what I said was wrong? they photoshopped a model which is exactly what you want, you said you didn't want them to look alien, job done, you got a photoshopped human as a Quarian.

Again, an absolutely rediculous statement. I didn't respond initially because I don't like to, "feed the trolls",
as they say. Your response was clearly intended to provoke so I didn't oblige.

This time, however, I will respond since you are clearly to dense to see how your statement was foolish.

Me wanting a Tali who is attractive does NOT mean I wanted a half assed photoshop picture of a human. I want a fully fleshed out rendering of Tali unmasked and presented in game at the proper time (such as on Rannoch when she removed her mask).  That is all I will say to you. If anyone else who feels the same cares to elaborate, so be it.

Sorry I'm dense my friend, sorry wanting something that isn't cheesy as hell is dense.

Everything you have said doesnt change the fact you want the alien design of the mysterious and unique bodied Quarians and then just stick a human head on it, seriously? is that how distinct you want Quarians to be? after all this wait and you just want a human head underneath the mask?

I can't think of anything worse and more awkward, just look:

http://t0.gstatic.co...BwHzKAN8ao0Aei

You want an 100% human head on that? really? I can't think of anything that would look more out of place and do the Quarian mystery less justice.

And here is a good example of why I think BioWare shouldn't have revealed her face at all. I think the mystique worked; it allowed the audience to find attractiveness within the mystery, as well as within the alien form, by creating in their minds the face they think would best compliment that form in order to create what appealed to each player within their own imagination. This is not to say I'm sad that they did the reveal... I mean, I would have been a little frustrated at never seeing her face, but I think that ultimately it would have been more impacting. The right kind of frustration, as opposed to the wrong kind (this latter being the kind the ending has left people with).

A while back, Priestly said he hoped they would not show her face, and although I always wanted to see it, I agreed, mostly because of the fan art I prefer.
I think they should have left it hidden until they were willing to put the same amount of effort they put into everyone elses face. Just makes sense to me, you don't do something unless your willing to put 100% of your effort into it. I personally would not have been upset if there had been no reveal in the main game.

I'm surprised they didn't just base her face off of her voice actors. I doubt it would have taken that long to have rendered it. Also, it probably would have made a lot of fans happier to see her in character instead of some picture that makes you wonder when she had the time to take such a picture.

Picture of  her voice actor if you don't know what she looks like:

I find myself very much agreeing with this. And they should have made her look a bit more alien and pale.
Human hair seems inappropriate.

They dropped the ball on this one. Of course, seeing her face was so hyped, I think everyone would be a *little* disappointed, no matter the outcome.

Of course, when the heck is she EVER out of her suit, especially outside? When did she have the chance to even take that picture?

Also, I thought at one point, a codex stated that humans were the only ones with hair? That it was a trait specific to the species? Maybe I'm just pulling that out of my backside, but I've been running on that assumption for a while.

On Rannoc she takes off her mask, before she has sexy time with Shepard she takes of her mask. She is now fully immune to every disease ever.

Yes, very strange. I picture of her in a more appropriate environment would have been much better.
Not hard to figure that one out.

No, you know damn well what I meant. You said nothing about what you want. What you did was assume you knew what I want. You assumed that because I wanted something attractive I wanted a hack photoshop of a humans pictures. And honestly, I don't even think you did, you were just trolling for a reaction. And just incase you don't recall what you said...

CRISIS1717 wrote...

Then what is your problem with the photoshop? its exactly what you want, a cop out lol

As for our discussion I think we can simply agree to disagree.

As for what Tali now looks like, I am actually surprised Bioware didn't have a set Idea of what Quarians looked like before even releasing ME1.

What truly baffles me is how some people are willing to accept this subpar effort on the part of Bioware to present one of the major characters in the franchise.  It appears to me that the rationale is that she's "hot" and that's all they need from Bioware, but I have higher expectations for my entertainment dollar.  It is precisely that sort of complacency that has allowed Bioware to think they can get away with giving us the shoddy endings.  Just because I'm a fan of the franchise doesn't mean I'm willing to let small details go.  Just because I've committed my money to supporting their product doesn't mean they can take advantage of me any way they like.

http://img41.imageve...s_122_151lo.JPG

I would've been fine with any of the designs they revealed in the artbook (apart from the pig-face meant as a joke, of course).  To me, Quarians could've been uglier than Vorchas and Tali would still be attractive due to her personality.  And while I'm not going to put anyone down for wanting her to look human -- to each their own, after all -- my personal preference would have been that she look distinctly alien.  This is a sci-fi video game franchise in 2012, not a Star Trek episode in the 60s, where being alien means a different color of grease paint.  The majority of the LIs are human already; why not take advantage of the creative space and artistic license that you have and design something more exotic?

I agree with this man. Tali's an ALIEN :alien:. so make her look like one at least
