Scenario:

Wife played ME2 using cloud saves the entire time
I've never used cloud saves and have played ME1 and 2 on the same Xbox

Wife successfully imports ME2 character from cloud saves and begins playing the game.  Gets to first checkpoint on Citadel.  She quits playing for 4 days.  I start playing the game.  I usually get a message when I start ME2 that "a sign in change has occurred."  It prompts to to log out, but then the game just reboots on its own and works for me.

Wife comes back after 4 days and loads her last save.  She plays for about 5 hours and saves a new game.  We didn't turn the Xbox off or even log her out - just watched a netflix and did some other stuff for a few hours.  I am NOT logged in at all.  When she goes back into ME3 it prompts her that the save games in the cloud "Do not match the gamer profile" (I didn't see this message first hand).  Anyway it asks her if she wants to synchronize save games with profile and she does that.

At that point she can only see her old save from the citadel.  We exit the game and then go to manually view my could saves and her character's save is in MY cloud save storage area.  We can't copy it anywhere because its still associated with my wife's g'tag.  I get a message when I try to move or copy that it can't be transferred between profiles.  We tried a bunch of other stuff too that didn't work . . .

Ok so start from the old save right and just lose 5 hours - but I couldn't figure out a way to "change storage device" after a career was already associated with a given storage device.  We don't want her to use cloud saves anymore in case this happens again.  She ended up just importing the character again and choosing a USB drive as the storage device when prompted.

We submitted a request to XBox support already. I suppose its unlikely that someone has a solution for this. I mostly just wanted to raise awareness.
