Gamestop flooded with Mass Effect 3 used copies. Retailers told me customers angry about ending.

Camera footage would be useful. Maybe people with cameras on cell phones and whatnot should record these events?

Just a suggestion.

I went into Gamestop to put more down on my Resident Evil:ORC pre-order and theres at least 20 used copies of ME3 in there already and I live in a smaller town.

S**t, at least most people here have the option to return their ME3 copy. I unfortunately had no choice but to download the Origin version considering where I'm living right now. lol

While I get why BioWare/EA might be carefully weighing their options, they might want to hurry up and address the fanbase.

Though the rage wasn't as bad with DA2 ending they haven't fixed it yet and never will. I don't expect BW to change anything with ME3 ending and I do think that will be trouble in the future. I know I won't be in any hurry to buy any future BW game until well after release and I get to see what gamer reaction will be.

DA2's ending actually made sense tho. Sure it was REALLY rushed but it at least fit in, the Templars and Mages are at a tipping point and then the pot tips. Sure the "Meredith is Superman" stuff got a little extreme but all in all it worked where ME3's ending just came out of left field with NO explanation.

I'm not returning mine, 99% of it was amazing. It doesn't mean I'm happy with Bioware about this, though. I will not be buying DLC until they fix the ending. Period. Full stop.

And, if they fail to fix the ending, my faith in them will be severely shaken.

My thing is how long to they think they can continue to see millions of copies of each game if each new game makes the fans angry and then they treat the fans like dirt? At some point because of the lost sales EA will either slash their budget, shut them down, fire people,or change the name of the company to try and fool gamers and that will not work.

And Gamestop will turn it over and sell it for $56 lol

But that is 56 dollars that EA and Bioware will not get sadly.

The funny thing is that while I was in line for my CE on 3/5, they handed me a coupon guaranteeing me $30 for trading in ME3.

DID THEY KNOW!? :o

It's absolutely not crazy. If so many ppl are returning copies so soon, Gamestop cannot assume that they'll be able to resell these used copies easily. Moreover, they still have to sell future shipments of the game, which would be very hard, given the sharp fan backlash just 1 week in. HTH are they gonna recoup the profit loss if they refunded more?

If anything, provided this is a widespread occurance, Gamestop will put pressure on BW b/c of lost sales profits.

I went into a gaming shop wearing my Mass Effect hoodie, and the first thing out of the cashier's mouth when he saw me was, "Wow, SUCKY ending, huh?"

If this is true, everybody, start selling your games back to gamestop

I got the CE for $20, so I don't think I'll be returning mine, otherwise I probably would to help make a point.

Actually, less than that. The site's saying $47.99 used right now (which is NEVER the case for a $60 game).

DA2's ending could be justified and fit the themes. You knew you were going to have to pick Mages of Templars. You also got closure on the characters, my Hawke sailed off with Isabela. The one big flaw was Leliana but other than that the ending was okay.

This ending came from left field.
