I'd write off the Mass Effect series as a huge missed opportunity and move on to Assassin's Creed Revelations (haven't finished it yet).  The ending makes it difficult to play the game again or be motivated to do the DLC.  As it is, I'm not even sure if they fixed the ending that I could get the magic back.

Maybe they're just waiting until April Fools so that they can have some epic lulz. Then real announcements will follow.

if they did release the 'real' ending as FREE dlc, and admitted this was just a huge trollfest, id actually give them props, and my respect for them would return in full.

if they did the above, and i had to pay for the ending dlc, id buy it, and then cancel my TOR account and boycott bioware going forward.

A little yes and a little no. I feel like I'm standing at the gallows with the noose around my neck waiting for the trap door beneath my feet to collapse. I'm indifferent, ME and DA were the only games I came to BW for, and after what they've done to them...I'll be moving on, regardless of whether or not we get the "Truth" DLC or not. I don't like being jerked around.

Then I will spot spending my time and money on their products for all time.  As I said in another thread I don't play games to feel depressed at thend,I play them for the same reason I watch James Bond movies.  i want to have fun and see the hero win in some form in the end.

Agreed and it really is a shame too since the rest of the franchise was so good but that ending mucked everything up.

No. They've been dead to me for some time now.(ME2/DA2) Thought they'd redeem themselves with ME3....almost, but no.

Imo EA wouldn't allow them to commit the proper resources to a proper ending/s. Full-fledged endings with all the bells and whistles. I'd hate to think the person/s who came up with that ending did it with full ambition.

Well first I'd give BioWare the finger just as they did us, kinda like this

And then I'd prolly walk away and never come back.

(edit: I think it's better to leave that pic as a link <.<)

If bioware does not change the endings of me3 I will never buy another one of their games.
I put 500+ hours into me1 and me2, I did everything paragon and perfect in me3. and in the end Shepard has 3 incredibly similar endings all resulting in the destruction of the mass relays which make interstellar travel and commerce impossible. The massive fleet Shepard recruits for the final battle to take back earth gets stranded in the Sol system with limited FTL capabilities due to lack of fuel options... no dextro amino acid food, only DNA type life.
So the whole fleet will starve, Anarchy and Chaos will happen in Sol, and Earth might as well have been harvested by the reapers for all that will be left.
The Normandy with all your crew on it including those who were on Earths surface and in your squad, somehow are fleeing the battle field by jumping to another relay and crash landing on a planet that no one knows where it is.
I was ready for Shepard to die, I just wasnt prepared to see him die for nothing. the Control ending was the least horrible of the 3, yet even that was pointless. The destruction of the mass relays always causes a supernova equivalent explosion thus resulting in the total annihilation of every solar system that has a relay in it.
If the ending is not indeed indoctrination then whoever wrote the ending needs to get fired and work in a beet farm for the rest of their lives without touching or influencing any type of video game related product ever again.

Bioware can literally pull this all off by going with indoctrination DLC, they can mend this whole series and make it one of the most memorable and replayable 20/10 game trilogies in existence.

Or they can do nothing, lose their fanbase and most of future profits, lose their Fan-Related highly positive opinions of mass effect.

If they dont change it I am out, I have seen way to many games get destroyed by bad plots lately.

And I cant even return the game I bought ME3 Collectors Digital Download. So im screwed out of $80 if the **** hits the fan.

Yes, in a way. I would know to try to return my game in an attempt to recoup my 80 dollars. It would be nigh-futile, but I'd try.

I'd have them make plans personally.
If they refused I'd be pissed and deeply unsatisfied but.., That would be the end of it. They wouldn't get more of my money but... I would stop protesting. If the bottom line is that the endings stay the same that's that.
They would have lost a fan, that's for certain.

Simple. I will not buy any Bioware product. No drama. Just my customer decision.

I'll just eat a banana and never touch ME3 or any other BioWare game again. Although I admit I said that after DAII as well.

I would not be relieved, but distraught to an even greater degree that a company I (perhaps foolishly) thought I could trust has fallen beyond redemption, as it were. They would certainly be seeing no more of my business in the future.

If they don't fix the ending I will never buy anything ME related again. Can't say I will never buy a Bioware game, but I won't preoder. I play games because they make me feel good. I still remember the feeling of victory and accomplishment I felt after ME1 and ME2 and it felt great. ME3 felt like a knife in the belly, and I don't want to spend my money on things that makes me feel like that.

Honestly, if they don't have any plans to change the ending, then they should say something already, so that some people could move on from this game. -.- The longer they keep us hopeful, the more it will suck for us later.

If there are no plans and there is no hope, then yes, I would like BioWare to simply state this and allow us to move on.

I don't believe my initial feeling would be relief, but I would much rather know now if they have no intention of changing or expanding the ending.
