Hi Everyone,

Hope everyone is well!

Anyways, I've had the sudden urge to play through all the Mass Effect games again after finishing Mass Effect 3...just to max out my character with bonuses and whatnot...so I've just bought Mass Effect 1 from Origin since I've lost my copy of it..that, and it was only £5.

I'm having a severe problem though with my framerates in Mass Effect 1...whereas, Mass Effect 2 and 3 run silky smooth.

I can't imagine it's my system since it's quite modern...not top of the line...but decent.

I started my game of Mass Effect with FRAPs running in the background for the FPS counter only. I start the game, runs fine till you get to the part where Shepard is walking through the Combat Information Centre (CIC)...particularily at the Galaxy Map table....it drops to 11 fps and then back to 45+ once the scene reaches the cockpit with Joker and Alenko.

Playing further, just to test out the water. I get to Eden Prime...and it goes to roughly 11-30 fps.

I realise that this isn't the newest game in the world. Do I need to tweak something special outside of the game settings within the Launcher/In-Game Options? There seems to be little to no difference from when I switch the Particle/Texture/Dynamic Shadow/Filter From High/Yes to Low/No.

Edit:- Drivers are upto Date.

Sorry, I don't understand this.

The time between making this post...I've just loaded my save in Eden Prime...and suddenly it's running at 60fps again. I'll see if I encounter any further problems...but will still appreciate any insight to this.
