New True Ending All Along
A few hours ago an anonymous user who leaked the multiplayer DLC
(just an hour earlier) has claimed that the ending fiasco was deliberate
because of the game’s storyline being leaked. They changed it so they
could have more time to prepare the real ending DLC.

It is called “The Truth”, and will be released in April
or May… You will be able to continue your story if you picked any of
the endings. Your decision during the sequence will have a big effect on
the ending of The Truth. Also, The Truth adds two new
sets of enemies, new classes, and multiplayer maps, including “Firebase
Hive”, which is a small area of the last remaining Collector Ship included in the DLC, which, by the way, you should definitely bring Javik the Prothean along if you have them.

The following picture shows some of the leaked multiplayer
classes and races. One race that isn’t shown is the Prothean Adept and
Vanguard. This DLC also, enables the ability for owners of the preorder
and From Ashes DLC to find their DLC weapons in reinforcement packs.

All of that content, and this might as well be labelled an expansion.
And it’s Free!

http://masseffect.wi...LC_Revealed!!!!

Sure it is a rumor, but the multiplayer stuff this guy leaked turned out to be true. Why not this?

I have quite a few reasons for believing this.

1. I trust Bioware. They must have known this ending would ****** off fans. It seems completely plausible that they didn't have enough time to finish the ending which is why they would release it months after.

2. Bioware seems awefully quiet lately. I bet they are actually still WORKING to get the dlc out right as summer hits. This also explains why we haven't seen a patch for all the glitches like the character import issue (which I'm still mad about). They probably have a list of priorities and that ending is on top.

"Hardest. Day. Ever. Seriously, if you people knew all the stuff we are
planning...you'd, we'll - hold onto your copy of me3 forever."

I'm sure lame multiplayer DLC, Galactic Readiness DLC (taking back Omega for example), or an epilogue to show what happened to Earth and the stranded squadmates won't make us want to "hold onto me3 forever". They probably know that too.

3. Too many hints that it is all just hallucination/indoctrination. Bioware is way too good of a company to leave plotholes the size of Texas in the final installment of a trilogy. Sure Dragon Age 2 may have had problems but look at all the other Bioware games. KOTOR, Jade Empire, Dragon Age Origins, Mass Effect 1 + 2, etc. Terrible plothole ridden endings isn't their business style.

The ending where Shepard wakes up under a pile of rubble isn't possible if the ending wasn't a hallucination. Shepard would have been vaporized by the explosion of the citadel. There is no way he could have just landed on Earth unscathed.

4. If by the love of Satan, Bioware actually plans on leaving the ending the way it is and only adds expansions like extra missions to do (Overlord, Firewalker, etc.) then EA will lay the smackdown on them. Already, Bioware/EA is losing money (or not making as much as they could) because the prices are falling, people are trading in the game, and all this bad press is probably stopping people from purchasing the game. Not to mention, any "NON-ending" dlc will probably not be purchased by the majority of the fanbase.

If there is money to be made by making a new ending for fans, EA will be sure to exploit it no matter how much pride/ego Bioware has.

There is no confirmation for any of this. But if you want to be pessimistic and believe that Bioware just destroyed an entire franchise then go ahead.

Me? Well I don't believe Bioware would sacrific their wonderful universe, their fans, and their profits in order to please their ego/pride. That's not how a business like this works.

I want to believe... But i can't. There have been so many false hopes so far. I really don't believe in bioware anymore.

I defended them at every turn up until the endings were released. And even then I defended them because i said they would never mess up an ending that bad. Then I saw the endings with my own eyes and I lost my mind. I am not the only one by proof of the facebook group, the over 33,000 dollars raised for charity, the multiple articles on OUR side.

Its an interesting idea. But EA is not going to lay the smackdown on Bioware. Most of the odd things in ME3 were most likely due to the persistence of EA's leadership.

fake. theres no credible sources for that. a wiki page isn't credible and no sources are cited.

I WANT to believe this, but I'm not going to let my hopes get up again just so BioWare can smash them into the ground again..

I don't believe it. It's way too good to be true.

I'm sorry, you said the multiplayer leak turned out to be credible? I haven't heard anything about that.

He tells me to take Javik on a multiplayer map mission. I'm sorry but if you believe this in any way, then you're living a worse dream than the ending.

If bioware was willing to delay the game for knnect or w/e other issues they should have had the common sense to delay the game to get the ending right. Would anyone really be upset if Bioware had released a statement saying "dear fans, we regret to inform you that we have to delay the release of ME3 for another 2 months. During our internal, and limited external testing we discovered some major issues that need to be addressed in order for us to bring you a complete, polished, and satisfying conclusion to the Mass Effect trilogy."

I would have been cool with that, IF they had put the actual ending in the game. Releasing a game half assed and then making us wait 2 months for you to fix your "oops" is bad business.

As there is no credible reason to prove otherwise, calling it "fake" is as inherently silly as calling it "definately real".

Might be real, might be fake .. we've no way to know atm.

Sure hope it's real though.

It sounds incredible but I doubt there's anything behind it. 'Too good to be true', and the source just isn't convincing.

But I'm sure we haven't heard the last from Bioware about the ending so I'm quite prepared to be patient at this stage.

On the one hand, at this point most people would rather hear definitive proof rather than just speculation because we don't want our hopes up.

On the other? I could buy that explanation if only because the endings do look and feel shoehorned into the game. When you look at the entire game and compare it to the ending(s), it just doesn't contain the same flow.

I want to believe in Bioware too...this gives me a little hope as do the indoctrination theories. If it turns out to be true then ill take back everything bad I have said and my full faith will be restored again.

Your thread makes me shed a tear of hope.

I agree that optimism must be had. I can't help when the hopeless pessimist side gets its turn on the up side of the see-saw that is my emotional state right now, but the hopeful optimist side is getting its turns too.

Just gotta... hold.. the line..

A little hope; my lack of faith disturbs me. I have a feeling that closure will come in the form of consolation rather than fulfillment.

There's also no proof that I own an invisible leprachaun. However, the claim is outlandish enough on its own that not having any evidence whatsoever means it can be dismissed.

It is a claim with 0 substantiation or historical precedent.

I think you're misreading. I read the OP as "The multiplayer part of the DLC has a new map that is found in the single-player part of the DLC to which you should definately take Jarik".

In the same way that the multiplayer maps (what little I've played of them) seem to be lifted from the single-player campaign; this new DLC multiplayer map will be lifted from the  single-player part of the DLC.

Not a grounds to question the validity of the OP imo.

Don't believe anything that has been "leaked" on 4chan. The probability of it being just another troll is TOO DAMN HIGH!

If this is true, it would most certainly be good news, but until I see some proof, this goes in the pile "wishful thinking"

According to this, a leak is what got us into this mess in the first place... so ANOTHER leak is supposed to put us at ease? Feh.  We are so vulnerable to trolls right now.  Don't fall for it!

If all the bad things were happening like the op has said the ea would announce this is true.   But no word yet that this is true sorry.  But I have seen trolls do this kind of Rick roll to many times.
