While it would be nice for this to be true, people claim to know things like this all the time. I will believe it when there is at least a bit more proof. Until then, I hold out hope.

Because I bet there will be more protheans making a return in SP, hence why Javik being DLC doesn't really matter - he's not special after all and only a bonus, because more were planned to return at the end after all.

Of course please take a huge bucketful of salt (or disregard me) - I am most likely completely wrong, but I can't seem to shake off that gut feeling.

You see this is why its a good time to be a 360 owner cuz I`ll know if this DLC is for real or not before all of you PC and PS3 guys cuz we all know it`ll be leaked on XBOX Live a week or so before its announced

 My head says there's no chance that its true, but my heart really, really, wants to believe. Anything to get the image of such a bad ending out of my head. To see Shepard with the team in the aftermath, to see your love interest afterwards and to see a more definitive ending to Shepard's story, i dont care whether its paid for DLC or free, if it justifies in my mind the time and money i've invested in this series, it will be worth it.

As there is no credible reason to prove otherwise, calling it "fake" is as inherently silly as calling it "definately real".

Might be real, might be fake .. we've no way to know atm.

you're not alone, the whole time I played mass effect 3 I kept expecting to find another instance of protheans in stasis, an Eden Prime that worked, if you will.

This really seems to be the unifying feeling that we all have deep down in our hearts. 

Truly, if this is the gospel truth, I think that Bioware will be able to, at least mostly, make up for the surge of heartache, anger, confusion and frustration that their writers had produced through this obviously hurried (and *cough* ripped off from Deus Ex and Battlestar Galactica) ending production.  

Seriously, for not only my sake, but theirs as well, I hope that they acknowlage our feelings (as they have always said they do) and fix the grevieous errors that are these endings to a such a spectacular series.

Well Bioware is going to have to do something to retcon the story if they want to roll out with their Mass Effect MMO in a few years. Otherwise people won't buy the incredibility of not having the relays.

Not to mention the fact that the realities of the reapers still existing and the very nature of life in the galaxy being in flux, there's not a hell of a lot of chance of respecting anyone's choices as is... which raises the question.. Why the hell change the actual technical state of the universe so wildly if in the end none of it matters since interspecies contact isn't even viable anymore?

Wow, if this is true, great. But... well. I can't believe the DLC will be free. And if they charge for the real ending in DLC,... wow.... that's just a big middle finger to the fans.
