For one, the amount of people without an internet connection, and own a current gen game console, is such a small amount that I sincerely doubt it makes a difference.ShdwFox7 wrote...

If "The Truth" DLC is real (which means the real conclusion to the game isn't in the game) and they are releasing it for free, the not everyone could obtain it. You see even if the DLC is free XBL is NOT FREE, so if you do not have XBL then you cannot download the DLC. So unless they are giving everyone a limited free voucher for XBL then half of Xbox owners wont be able to play the damn thing.
Or an internet connection
Two, gamestop and other game retailers have been known to carry DLC cards. It might not be free, but it would still be less money than most other DLCs.

The multiplayer DLC seem very possible, but the rest... pretty doubtful (specially the "for free" part).

I want to believe. I really, really do.
I just can't understand why Bioware would stay silent on this issue if they had something planned.
Well hypothetically speaking if everyone knew that the "real" ending was yet to come they wouldn't buy ME3 until it came out, which would kill sales.

That's just being wasteful with money.
That ten minutes of CGI at the end cost money. It isn't "half-assed" (I mean - it IS, but it isn't there as "filler" while they produce more content).
What "The Truth" implies:
-They used time, resources, and money to make a ten to fifteen minute ending that would be THROWN AWAY.
-They used FURTHER time, resources, and money to make a new ending to replace all the time, resources, and money they FIRST used.
Will they come out with new ending DLC? Maybe, especially with all the backlash they're getting.
But will it be free? Almost certainly not.
And was it planned? Hell no - you see how much rage they're getting? There's absolutely no way they planned this.

I'd like to put faith in it. But I won't. If this were true, why wouldn't Bioware just say "We're working on something ending-related, hold your horses"? No harm could come of that statement... So, I'll not believe it, but hope for it.

No one else remembers references to a Firebase Hive well before release? I dunno, it sounds really familiar, like someplace I saw a screenshot of it... I'm not sure. I'd like to believe this, but anything starting at 4Chan already smells like /b/

Bioware is not Bethesda, but remember people asking if there was Were-Wolves? The only response they got was either being ignored or being told "We can't answer at this time".
Guess what they got? Were-Wolves.

Otherwise I'll just stick to the ending in my head - the Citadel/Catalyst Kid was a dream/indoctrination sequence as the theory puts it, Shep chose to destroy the Reapers and broke their hold over him by doing that, woke up in London and kicked Reapers' ass. And then he was happy with Liara.

That and you don't have to pay for XBL to get game updates or purchase dlc. You can have a silver account and still make purchases. Gold basiclly covers the cost for the multi-player for all games.Fl1xx wrote...

Ah now I see. They are waiting for the right balance of widespread publicity about the endings, and the number of fans dropping off due to disappointment, before dropping this bombshell.goose2989 wrote...
I have hope... but it is hanging by a thread. Bioware has been extremely quiet, expecially considering that many websites are now creating headlines about our cause. We'll just have to see
And I'm guessing the turnaround having to be shown on every news/review site that has commented on the ending, will gain many more followers than the relative few they may currently be losing now (seriously, despite the endings how many people have actually properly given up on the franchise as of this point?), and even those might see the news and come back.
Brilliant marketing stunt, if this is true that is...

I am not completely happy with any of the ends, yes, and maybe because of that I WANT to believe in rumors just like this and am overlooking the more obvious truth.
Frankly, the suspension is the worst about it. I don't wanna give up on the game that has until the last ten minutes given me sooo damn much fun. I can't believe Bioware would leave us like that...

I don't want to hate Bioware; they've given me games that have consistently kept me satisfied for the past eight years. It can all be dismissed as hopeful thinking and a personal bias, but I just can't honestly think that Bioware messed up *THIS* badly.
