I'm having an issue where I can't hear other players in MP lobbies. The game shows them with blue mic icons and displays that they're speaking, but no audio. When my mic is plugged in I get the blue mic icon and it shows that I'm speaking, but I have no idea if that input is getting out.

I've done everything I can think of to rectify the problem. I checked the game's options for voice chat white/blacklist options or default voice settings, and nada. Checked the same for my Xbox's options, and unless they have an obscure new setting since the dashboard update a few months back, I'm seeing nothing wrong. I made sure my mic was seated properly, my voice chat channel was properly set, and even went into a private party with a friend to make sure my mic was working altogether (it is).

I've got exactly the same problem with a brand new head set. I've never used voice chat before so I'm not sure if there's something else I need to switch on.

I'm having the same issues.  My mic works fine in party chat or private chat, but not in a MP game lobby.  I can't hear anyone, but can see that they are talking.  Heck, I don't even know if they can hear me.

I get this issue in game as well. But not in the lobby but in the actual combat when talking to someone. My mic cuts in and out, so does the sound from my team mates coming in through the earpiece.

This also does not work in Party or Private chat when playing this game which sucks.

This mic is brand new, came with my 360 and had never been used until a few days ago when I played with a friend who wanted to talk to me as we MP'd together. Never could speak to my friend because of the cutting in and out issue.

I know the mic works because I was able to send a voice message via Xbox Live's messaging system with no problems and had playback perfectly fine.

This is an issue with the MP itself.
