People keep pointing this out, but if you do any texture modifications, you would realize it is a coincidence of the character design process. The body of the character is actually based on building half of the body, mirroring it, then merging it together. On female characters, this often results in "******". It happened to FemShep in ME2 (was apparent if she were dressed in the scientist outfit). The delima could be solve with a bone structure, but that level of design is excessive in game design.

The question to ask is the same question they ask Data in Star Trek TNG....

I'd be curious as to what the answer is....:D

She did have a line saying she was 'Fully Functional'...

... that was in combat though...

It is a bit vague if she's...like, steel heavy, or has "flesh" that feels pleasant...

Like if she feels like steel, why would you want sex with that?

If that screenshot is unedited it is the greatest thing ever.

I may have to actually load up ME3!

I remember from a convo with EDI that there are certain areas of her body that she can change the density/texture/hardness of, such as her hair.

Something tells me Joker is glad that she wasn't... and for some reason I keep thinking that Samantha also had a bit of fun on the side...

Haha, oh dear. I didn't take her with me very often so I never noticed.

Yeah, I do think she didn't need to be this sexualized and I definitely rolled my eyes at the way they introduced her (when she first takes the body over), but oh well. Sadly, I've come to expect this sort of depiction of women in video games.

Edit: I should add that I'm only talking about her appearance here. Her personality was great.

I took the introduction as a stab at the scene from "Weird Science" from the 1980's !!!

The funny point is that when EDI is without clothes, doesn't have cam. toe, but with clothes yes.... who the hell is the pervert that filled EDI's clothes in 'azure' area? :-P

given that models role I think it's actually fitting.. she's suppose to be infiltration and what not. Making her sexy as hell ACTUALLY does have it's advantages, makes it easier to get her way. Beautiful people in real life get way more perks than ugly people, that is the truth, making her..um...functional.... in other ways allows for a imbedded agent unit to seduce their way when needed... so yeah some can cry foul on over sexualized images for sales, and they have some point, but also on a tactical level TIM has the right idea too.

I gotta say, now that it's been pointed out, her ****** is ridiculous.

ESPECIALL ON RANNOCH HOLY CRAP. There's a scene where you are landing and she is sitting, legs wide, facing the camera and it's just.... like....

"HI. I AM AN ARTIFICIAL...." well, you get it.

She's an infiltration unit. Y'know, moving among humans undetected/unsuspected. What better way to draw attention away from the parts of you that aren't human, than by having aspects that are very human?

I mean, have you heard her moving around? Imagine how badly she has to distract all the men from actually realising there are little hydraulic sounds every time she moves?

It really didn't bother me, and besides all the banter between her and Joker was hilarious!

I'm more offended by the default outfit's giant blocky texture artifacts than anything... D:

I think they borked the normal map somehow. Not sure. Looks like someone saved over one of the maps with DXT1 too many times.

I really don't understand why people throw their arms up in disgust when a video game character is hot or sexy or whatever.

Men (straight men) like attractive Women. It's natural, there's nothing wrong with it. BioWare is just capitalizing on it.

It certainly didn't detract from her character.

I'm disappointed by Eva's body to be honest.

EDI told me it was resistant to small arms fire. Unfortunately, when put to the test; it failed horribly.

Not all relationships are based on sex, y'know. EDI has a mind and a personality. That's what matters most.

Miranda was almost the exact same, EDI just seems to have bigger boobs and a less saggy tush.

That being said, I absolutely loved some of the EDI moments in ME3 and totally didn't mind her reasoning for taking a physical body.
