Hi,
I bought and downloaded ME2 from Origin. When I try to log in to my EA/Origin account to activate the Cerberus network, I get a wrong password error. I notice that when typing my password, one of the characters in my password does not advance the asterisk count in the password box. Is this a known issue? I need to resolve this in order to use any DLC, correct?

What character is it, exactly?
..No I am not trying to get your password, I simply want to see if this happens to me as well. And I doubt telling me a % or something is it will do harm.

It was an asterisk. I changed my password to not have any asterisks in it, and it worked fine.

Huh, weird. I'm not at my PC with ME2 installed on it at the moment, so I couldn't check it for myself. Unsure why a password with a * wouldn't work. Maybe it uses it as a wildcard or something.
But at least changing your password without it worked, instead of no password working.

I was having the same issue. After EA support not helping much and a lot of searching in the forums, I found the issue. Any special character will fubar the logon (see thread http://social.biowar...6/index/8932930). My password was special character heavy (4 of 13 characters, none '*'). Reset password to all alphanumerics. And Voila! No more issues.

If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7, one thing you can try is to disable Explicit Congestion Notification (ECN). (Thanks Bogsnot1 for the heads up.) Open a Command Prompt (under the Accessories folder in the start menu) and type:
netsh int tcp set global ecncapability=disabled
Thanks to Zixis Dragonfire for the solution
P.s. you'll need to run the command prompt as an administrator
