There is a fairly interesting theory going on that says that Shepard was indoctrinated during the last moments of the game.. At first I didnt give the theory much credit, but when you see this video and think about, it does makes sense...

Yep, it makes alot of sense when I actually started looking at how the end plays out. It also seems your thoughts about your love interest and friends win out over the supposed indoctrination, as they flash up on the screen while you destroy it, showing Shepherd was adamant about his resolve. The kid also vanished instantly and grew weaker with each blast. Not to mention he lied... Alot...

Seen it and wish it was true, but still I have some doubts.

1) How did Anderson get to the beam - dunno, good point.
2) Unlimited bullets - since there are no thermal clips around.
3) Catalyst image as the kid - Catalyst controlled illusive man, its not difficult for the Catalyst to just take kids image from Shepards mind.
4) Indeed Shepard was not in oxygen filled area with no breathing equipment - I got few theories why, but only guesses.
5) I honestly didn't see Kid lingering there, his face just disappeared

But imagine if it all was Shepards imagination, what difference does it make? That means noone made it to the beam, united flotilia will lose to Reapers, Cidatel remains closed and etc. But I hope i'm wrong, I want another ending...

Yeah, I dont get how the green ending work inside this theory as well, but hell, maybe the kid is on something here...
