after consulting with EA and Microsoft we have determined that it is my gamerprofile that ids causing mass effect 3 to freeze just before teh press start screen (it also freezes on the press start screen when I attempt to sign into my profile) it isn't an EA server issue since battlefield 3 works fine, not a cleared cache issue, I deleted my profile and recovered it, sent it to the cloud and to a flash drive and both still froze. However signed in under a different profile on my system allows the game to load just fine. Also I was able to play about 20 hours of single player and a decent amount of multiplayer before the game just decided to up and refuse to load with my profile.
Has anyone else encoundered an issue with their profile causing the game to crash and either found a way around it or gotten word of a fix in the works?
