Should Emily Wong been given the role that Jessica Chobot was given in ME3?

at least its not the fanbase for that one turian you have that ONE convo with on noveria in ME1, but people keep asking about him, wtf?
why do people care so much about extremely minor side characters? seems weird to me

But for the Normandy, Diana Allers was a good fit.
That said. Diana Allers' appearance is somewhat wrong. I can't put my finger on it. The Face looks good, the Body is good as well, but put those two together and it just looks .... wrong.

Pretty much this. I don't have anything against Chobot, but it seemed uneccesary to create a whole new character when they could have easily used Wong who was already established in the franchise. I also exhausted all the dialogue options with Allers, and I never got the sense that she was any more fleshed out then any of the npcs standing around the citadel.RebelByDesign wrote...
I had no knowledge of Jessica Chobot before ME3 but regardless I would have preferred Emily Wong just because she's an established part of the universe.

I keep hearing this. What exactly happened, is there a link?Dark Penitant wrote...
I may be in the minority here, but I actually loved Emily Wong's death. It was done really, really well, even if it was over twitter.

And then there was that twitter feed. Totally got me invested in Wong's death. Would have hands down preferred Wong to Chobot, but if we couldn't get Wong at all, at least she got to go out like a goddamn hero.

I'm ok with it. With all the renegade options you can perform on Wong in all three games it's not surprising that Shepard wouldn't want her on his/her ship from a story perspective.
Different reporter!

i honestly dont understand why anyone likes wong. she sends you on a couple tedious sidequests in ME1, then does a couple news things if you click on the TVs in ME2. why does she have a fanbase? wtf?! WTF BSN WTF!

How anyone confuses Emily Wong and Khalisah al-Jilani is beyond me.ShdwFox7 wrote...

I would have loved to be able to bring Kalisah Bint Sinan Al-Jilani on board instead. That way everyone on board would get a chance to punch her at least once. Bioware missed a golden opportunity there.

I don't know who the hell is that Chobot person, but due to her AWFUL voice acting of that reporter and the history between Shep and Wong i'd rather prefer Wong.
She's some chick that licked a psp more than once for IGN.
oh god now that made me laugh
