I'm sure this has probably already been reported, but I did a search and nothing came up, so, I'm posting a new thread. Let me just say, I haven't reached the end yet, so I have no opinion on it. But I have been extremely tired of everyone making every positive thread on these forums an excuse to get on their soapbox about the endings.

However, this? Impresses the heck out of me. This is how you run a campaign for change. This is how you get companies to stand up and take notice. Nice job, people. Maybe I'll be making a donation myself when I finally get to the end and see what all the fuss is about. We'll see.

The money goes to charity that donates gaming systems to sick kids, not to Bioware. I doubt very much that it will be used to "buy a new car". But raising that money will get the fans advocating change media attention, which does affect Bioware.

Didnt even read the article im betting.  MONEY IS GOING TO CHILDS PLAY. A charity that buys sick children video games and etc during thier recovery.

Yeah, I thought so too. I regret not turning off my Xbox just before the ending. It REALLY sucks and will destory the whole series for you. I had 4 characters ready for import, I don't think I will touch any Mass Effect game ever again.

Mmmm...that does not fill me with confidence...*sigh*

I am about halfway through the game. Still, if the ending is truly that disappointing, I believe I will choose to lodge my protest along with those donating to Child's Play. I like that far better than the idea of adding yet another thread here burning EA/Bioware in effigy.

Heh.  I actually had the same thought, up until the ending sequence I thought the game was pretty drat amazing though with flaws, and was looking forward to a replay.

I thought the game was amazing and up until the end it had been my favorite game of the series, by far. I'd log in here before i had completed the game and wonder how so many people could be trashing the game as being terrible.

....and then I got to the endings.

While I don't think it is fair to trash the entire game, as I think 99% of it was amazing, the ending was about as disappointing an ending for the Mass Effect series as you could possibly imagine. I still can't believe that is the route Bioware went. It just seems like a slap in the face to anyone who was ever a fan of the series.

I'm holding out hope that Bioware is paying attention to the fan reaction, and will include a fourth 'choice' for the ending in a DLC, that wraps up the series in a satisfying way. Though truth be told the sliver of hope that I hold for that DLC is about as slim as the galaxy's chances were of defeating the Reapers.

On the bright side, even if they don't change the ending(and they won't) there are still going to be tons of happy children so it was worth it in the end.

Unless they use that money to buy them copies of ME3.
