Ken is not Irish he's Scottish. Very Big difference. That might be why he sounded off to you

Cortez isn't black. Anyway...

I actually liked hs voice acting (I don't know who voiced him). His overall character is surprisingly good and not just a gay stereotype like I feared he would be. He's a pretty cool guy.

But, like I said before, my least favorite voice actor is whoever voiced the child. It felt forced on Earth, and it felt fake on the Citadel. My #1 favorite voice actor (actress, anyway) is Yvonne, who did Miranda. Claudia Black as Daro'Xen and Martin Sheen as the Illusive Man come in very close 2nd and 3rd place, respectively.

Raan is voiced by a "real actress" as well, Shohreh Aghdashloo.  Nominated for an Oscar for her work.

Best voice ever. Should've gotten her to read the codex, I'd never listen to anything else.

Steve Cortez was awesome. Sure, he was gay, but he was like a brother. And he didn't make a pass at my MaleShep.

Allers, and before someone get offended..... I didn't even know who this Chobot woman was until a few days ago. Still the VA job she did was sub par, or it could be that I just missed Emily Wong in ME 3.

when i first booted teh game, i didnt know who she was. Was wondering why the VA job was so bad until the news dawned on me from a quick google search.

I didnt bother recruiting her on the ship thru my first playthru.

Yeah, Chobot was probably the worst, but that's understandable considering I don't think she has any experience in voice acting or acting in general.

I don't think that Jessica Chobot was that bad. Her show, Battlespace, was touted as a bit sensationalist, so in real life she's the kind of person that might actually get the job of presenting it.

The only line i thought she stumbled on was "i'm a colony kid...." where she explains how Berkenstein was destroyed because they have a factory that makes binoculars. She's not a voice actor, so it's understandable she might not be too great with lines that require a little bit of acting.

Obviously she's only getting so much criticism because she has a job in the video game industry and a vagina, and we'll never have either.

The kid. Kid actors suck, period. Exceptions from the rule happen so rarely, it's practically pointless to even think about planning a kid (voice) actor in your movie/game because 99% chance is you won't find anything good.

Have you seen Game of Thrones?  Kid actors can not only hold their own, but can be fantastic.

Not sure who I'd say is the worst VA, as Chobot shouldn't really count as she's not technically a VA, which is why her performance was so... not good, and given that Mordin's VA had some huge shoes to fill, he did well enough, I thought.

I used to think Liara sounded really bad (she always sounded like she was out of breath, and some of her ME1 lines... "you must think I am an utter fool".... yeah... but I guess I can't blame her for her lines), but she got much better since.

All that said, I'd say any of the human councilors at the beginning.  They all sounded awful.  "What do we do?" "Oh my... God."  There's probably some more, but those come to mind.

Also, has anyone had that bug in ME1 where you hear Tali and/or Garrus without the voice-modifications?  Tali sounds omgsexy.  It's insane.

I Really like Jessica Chobot when she does the IGN videos and all that, but the voice acting in game is pretty terrible. Also, who ever did stargazer needs some lessons.
