Did you miss the ending? Where the star-kid said that TIM could never control the reapers, since they already controlled him. What else could that mean?

It goes like:
Shep - "So the illusive man was right after all...."
Starkid - "Yes, but he could have never taken control, for we already controlled him."

I don't think he always was indoctrinated. But the moment he changed his objective from destroying the reapers to control them he became indoctrinated.

Do we actully know that was not his plan all along?
I remember seeing a smirk on his face when looking at the Collector base I spared on my second ME 2 playthrough.

His goal was always clear..
He wished to insure human dominance in the galaxy by any means.. I always figured he would use the reaper tech against them and then move to make sure humans were number one..controlling the reapers is not very far off....

I tried unfortnatlly sarens eyes are only glowing and red.
But! These look a bit similar, just more degenereated.

Another good theory, but as with any straws we grasp at is full of holes. Would imply TIM was indoctrinated pre-ME2. That really wouldn't make any sense, unless he was only very slightly indoctrinated.

If  TIM gets his eyes from almost
becoming a husk when trying to save a friend from a reaper artifact. Then maybe he was not fully indoc, but started to become it.

That is a bit disappointing, but remember from the ending of ME 1 - Shepards shouts to Saren - SOVEREIGN is CONTROLLING YOU THROUGH YOUR IMPLANTS.

Also, pretty sure Saren's eyes are solid blue.  My sister has a really big HDTV and I was watching her play through Virmire and there was no detail in his eyes, other than them being blue.   Edit: unless they get more detailed at the end of the game.  Hmm...more reason to finish my ME1 playthrough

Well, it was also the very first ME - could have changed. I know atleast that he does not start with blue eyes.

Yeah I'm curious if there is more detail at the end of the game now.  Might be able to find out this weekend if I speed through the game.

That's cool, I'm not really full renagade player so i wasn't positive. I like how the red's on top of your eye color. I'm not renagade but i want those eyes! lol

Dunno if this might help anyone while trying to figure things out, but I figured it couldn't hurt.  

It's very hard to tell, but seeing the ending where Shepard seems to wake up with a deep breath, we could have another game, but it's hard to tell what the plot would be in it, but I'm sure we'll DLC soon anyway.

Also, it seems that they are waiting for it to release in Japan on the 15th (I think) to release anything, by the looks of one of the tweets.

That is what i always assumed as well, but why would Shepards eyes become the same as his in both endings! Also, Joker gets green eyes when the synt ending is taken - not like these.

This could mean that TIM was indoctrinated since pre-ME 2

He was always Indoctrinated, if you read the comics his name originally was Jack Harper and he was exposed to reaper tech during the Firstr Constact War, well slightly. It caused him to understand alien cultures before mankind even encountered them. Like he was able to speak asari before he knew who the asari were.

Maybe by controlling the reapers shep just took on the indoctrinated form, but instead of being a slave was the master, hence why the reapers left earth in the cutscene.
Also, maybe that explains the synthesis look too, combining organics and machines might do that to a person...
