Found this on another thread by a user called GimmeDaGun, it's a series of tweets between ME fans (The users) and the official Mass Effect ac**** on twitter. It seems like they have something serious planned, we'll see.

User 1: "I still want to believe you guys are sneaky trolls and have something going on you don't tell us yet. Can I get a cryptic reply?"
@masseffect: "The sun, it shines. www.youtube.com/watch"

User 2: "You are either a massive sadist or a beacon of hope."
@masseffect: "Can't it be both?"

User 3: "I kinda feel lost after that ending...not what I expected and left me feeling everything done was for nothing."
@masseffect: "We know it's a lot to take in! But hang in there. Your decisions matter."

User 4: "Are you holding something back, that could quell the large amount of frustration from the community, a tiny hint would be enough."
@masseffect: "Mike Gamble already said on his twitter, if the fans knew what was in store, the reaction would be different."

User 5: "I loved 98% of ME3..but something has to be up w/ ending..too much talent at BW for that business. Keep my saves?"
@masseffect: "We're keeping our saves, that's for sure."

User 6: "Fans are people too. Playing with their minds isn't that nice as it may look like to people from Bioware."
@masseffect: "We're not playing with anyone's minds, we are answering what questions we can and recording what feedback we receive."

User 7: "Its not that the ending was taken in the wrong direction its that it makes NO SENSE. Ashley was on the Normandy? she [was] with me."
@masseffect: "Probably a good thing to be cautious of."

User 8: "Do y'all have any ETA when more news will be released? Dying for news on a new ending/DLC."
@masseffect: "No ETA yet, but you will be updated via Facebook and Twitter when the news is available :)."

And some more:

User 1 -Well, i think i'll stop naggin you and trying to get you to talk about the indoctrination theory. :( Good game though!
Merizan - I want people to make up their own minds right now, then when more people have played we'll talk :)

User 2 - then I want to SEE that he was lying. I want to get up and finish the fight with Commander Shepard. Then retire.
Merizan - augh. want. to. discuss! Staying spoiler free for now :P

User 3 - But should've confronted the kid instead. Shep went meekly into the night.
Merizan - are you sure he went meekly into the night?

Why is there half a youtube link in the first one?

I wondered that too, but that's what the tweet was like. Probably just hinting for a trailer or something to be uploaded onto youtube soon when they release this 'news' they want to release so badly, but don't want to until more people have played the game.

This has been the most comforting thing I've seen all week, Rhod. Thank you!

OH, and on the pictures, excellent catch! Now, I want to direct everyone's attention to the ME3 art book that came with the Collector's Edition, if they have it. Notice the giant monster version of "The Illusive Man", it says it's him right there in that art book. Foreshadowing, for the REAL ending? There WILL be an Illusive Man boss fight; I'm quite certain of it.

Remember that indoctrination tends to be a slow process - and slower depending on the person and the nature of the exposure. The change may be so gradual that the line between actions of their own choosing and actions influenced by the indoctrination may become blurred, both to an observer and to themselves.

No question that T.I.M. has a very strong will.

Now they are claiming there are 17 endings. IGN lists the previously stated 16 (pretty sure Bioware has said before there are 16). And yes, IGN has the rubble one listed on there as well.

So I could be wrong but wasn't the process they used to bring Shepard back based on stolen Collector/Reaper tech? Such as in mass effect 1 it shows them attaching some kind of Reaper tech to the Prothians Spine/brain the just like Cerberus does to Shepard. If so couldn't that be a way to indoctrinate him...

Nice thought, that there is some bioware master plan yet to be revealed, but honestly I expect the only DLC to be released will be a rubbish appearance pack and the N7 weapons for non-CE owners followed by multiplayer maps from the first two titles.
Either way Bioware can't now win. Release a paid DLC ending and be accused of taking their fans and customers for a ride (and doing the equivalent of selling a detective story and withholding the last chapter and making people pay for it) or release an unpaid DLC ending and be accused of rushing the release due to EA pressure or caving into popular demand and admitting the ending was ill-considered. And since not everyone would buy the DLC, their hard crafted product would for some ever be tainted.

I just looked at my book and it says next to the monster Illusive man, " One of the plans on the drawing board was to have the Illusive Man turn into a Reaper creature for the final battle. Eventually, this plan was scrapped, since we wanted to give players the satisfaction of fighting  a character they know rather than a random creature."

The thing is...we had NO final battle whatsoever. I don't call arguing with him a battle. If they were planning on making him look like a reaper, then a fighting battle was made for the ending. Meaning there will be a final battle with TIM but he won't look like a monster but like himself.

Back when TIM was just Jack Harper, he came into contact with a Reaper Artifact, which explains his eyes.

Can someone re-explain me why TIM tried controlling the Reapers while being indoctrinated? Or was he just under full control at the end?
I cannot recall why Cerberus searched a way to control the Reapers while their leader was indoctrinated all the time.

Nevertheless, these discussion is what BioWare actually tried to achieve by writing those endings I guess ;)

I am leaning toward the indoctrination theory. I don't think that means there is more to come or that a true ending is in the works. There is a lot of evidence to suggest that the red ending--destroying the Reapers, is actually the paragon ending, and the blue ending, controlling the reapers, is actually renegade. I think its possible they intentionally flipped the colors as a metaphor to Shep being indoctrinated.

The Bioware folks seem panicked to me. They sound like they're in massive PR damage-control mode, trying to ride the wave of their new game as long as they can before the sales completely crash.

I think this business in the tweets and elsewhere is a dangling carrot to get people to keep their games in the hopes that we'll spend more on DLC or other games in the Mass Effect universe.

1. Shep is not indoctrinated, the Prothean VI did not detect indoctrination.

2. Something happens to his eyes in the other two endings because of the nature of the endings, that is all. The control option was supposed to be similar to what happened with The Illusive Man.

As far as we can tell, he was never, EVER, woking to destroy the Reapers.

TIM tells you as much, multiple times in ME3, and hints at it in ME2.

Do you remember the Prothean companion explaining that in his cycle, there was an extremist splinter cell that was hell-bent on controlling the Reapers, too?
I think it was part of their plan to weaken the races they were trying to destroy, by making TIM into a patsy...  Using his own motivations and ambitions to fuel discord and create a civil war in the middle of the assault.

TIM eyes were like that way before his indoctrination, besides, there were a bunch of indoctrinated people throughout the game that didn't have those eyes - and what exactly is the logic of marking indoctrinated people like that?? Kinda counter productive on the reapers behalf don't you think?
I really hope BioWare won't take any pointers from all these mad conspiracy theories when and if they give some ending DLC.

Did you miss the ending? Where the star-kid said that TIM could never control the reapers, since they already controlled him. What else could that mean?

It goes like:
Shep - "So the illusive man was right after all...."
Starkid - "Yes, but he could have never taken control, for we already controlled him."

Problem is, if the indoctrination theory is correct (which I hope it is) then that was not TIM at all. Everything there was an illusion.
