I like him. I guess he seems more human out of th rest of the group and he is the first one with a bit of an accent. I see him as the dude I can go drinking with. What do you think fellows?
James Vega (What do you think now, since you got a run through or two?0

Thought I'd be indifferent towards him, but he's a good guy and I liked him.
Combat-wise, not so much.

I like him. He's Shepard when s/he's just starting out.
My first run was a soldier, so I didn't use him, but I will on subsequent characters.

He's OK. Not my favorite, but he's decent. Besides, James could never garner quite the same attention/adoration/whatever from fans, seeing how he's new and past characters are already so memorable.

Bit of a surprise package for me i felt like i wouldn't like him i often dislike the human characters but he;s quite fun and i like him in my squad he's a useful tank since we have no Krogan this time to do that role. I find myself chatting to him quite a bit since i enjoy the voice acting for him.

He's ok. I'm not really a big fan of any of the humans except for Samantha and that was just her accent.

Funny one with a good personality. I find him to be one of my favorites.

Loved him. He had a great personality, and he was a monster on the field. Took him almost everywhere with me.

Just ok...
The problem is that we are used to so many great characters (Garrus, Wrex, Mordin, etc) that it is easy to fade at the side of one of those.

I really like him so far. Not a mixed bag like Kaidan and Jacob. Bioware got it right this time.

I really liked him. Not only was he an epic N7 material type soldier, but if you take time to flesh out his story, he has a nice human side to him. Oh and he's....Loco too

I liked him from the get go. His banter with anyone is great. It's almost a joy to listen to him and Steve spar.

I liked him before it was popular. Back when he was James Sanders.

I'm in the same boat as you. Maybe one of these days I'll use him more often but I find soldiers to be my last choice as squad members.

I thought Vega was okay as a squad-mate, not sure what I think about the prequel anime though.
Given the choice, I would've preferred to had his place in the party occupied by one of the ME 2 companions, however.

I think hes a dick tbh.
But that is a good thing. For me, to consider a character a dick he must be written quite ok, otherwise I would just be indifferent.
A bit too little dialogue, imo. But (at least without import) that is the case with each character in ME3 - the few dialogues you get are REALLY well done, and Vega is no exception, but that comes at the price of there being little of it, and some only as Aerial convo with no input from you at all,.

While I thought he would be the A**hole of the team, he turned out to be a really fun character right from the start.
The best scene for me was Garrus and him sitting together on the crew deck bragging and joking who accomplished more, with James' conclusion, that in the end they will be the ones saving the galaxy, but mostly James. Had a good laugh t that one.

I didn't like him, and after I had the option to pick my squad I didn't use him one.single.time. To be fair though I didn't hate him nearly as much as I thought I would,. he's definitely cooler personality wise than character model wise.
The Snooky look-alike reporter girl though. She can go out the airlock.

Veeegggaaaa!
While I really enjoy his character, I think they did a good job at not making him a LI. He doesn't seem like the type to be a romance/relationship person. He seems to be the type for a booty call and thats it.

Vega wasn't my favorite, but I still enjoyed his character. His intro was pretty non-existent though.
