Total Biscuit is slowing becoming the most popular video game reviewer/opinion-man on the net. Especially since Yahtzee sold out...
When did Yahtzee sell out? I guess I don't keep up with things enough.

It was revealed that he takes "kick-backs" from certain publishers and developers. BioWare was one of them.
Let me see if I can dig up some links for you.

We NEED Charlie Brooker. You haven't seen cynical English ranting until you've seen Charlie Brooker.

A lot of people that are putting down the fans for complaining use the whole "consumer/product" argument. BioWare doesn't owe you an ending, they owe you the game you paid for, and then they move on.
Problem is, anyone that runs a company knows it doesn't just stop there. If the product you sold isn't of quality, and the majority are not happy with it, they have a responsibility to those customers to make it right. And if they don't, then they risk damaging trust and their brand. It's apart of the business cycle.

I totally needed someone to tell me things I already know.
The fact that it's in video form, youtube no less, makes it even more legit.

This whole situation makes it hard to believe that any video game journalism is independent from the corporations. We're definitely exposing some skeletons in a closet.
This has been known for years.
The most famous example: Jeff G. from Gamespot
He gave Kane & Lynch a bad review. He was fired the next day. Why? Eidos, the publisher, paid Gamespot $800,000 for advertising space.
It's as corrupt as politics. I don't take a single review site seriously anymore.

nothing against him, but when people take his stuff as gospel, I get annoyed easily since he usually has little to back it up in terms of evidence.

I hate IGN. They gave Deadly Premonition a 2/10.
The sad part is they consider themselves journalist.

I've known this just not the whole jest of it. I guess you can say I've been enlightened

It's similar to what Forbes was saying. A customer is within their rights to make their opinions known, and they can at least ask for something better. The company doesn't have to change, they don't even have to acknowledge it, but it is our right to make our feelings known. And artisitc integrity is not an absolute shield. You have to at least take your licks.
yeah under Bioware and the press's logic Micheal Bay should be given an Acadomy Award because he is an artist so no one has any right to question if his films are good or not.

It doesn't matter. In an issue like this, the numbers matter, not the quality.LinksOcarina wrote...
