Several times now during combat my HUD has repeatedly become unclickable and unusable, even though the rest of my game remains responsive. Specifically I can move the mouse cursor around the screen, but the game doesn't respond when I hover the cursor hovers over my abilities (they don't beep or light up), and nothing happens when I click them. The rest of the game remains playable, for example I can still use my hotbar (though I can't switch the abilities on it), but I have no way to control my squadmates and their powers. The problem can be fixed by restarting the game, but since this always happens during combat that means I have to start the fight over again. Moreover these HUD lockups seem to happen the most during periods of intense combat (i.e. when I am repeatedly hitting Shift and bringing up the HUD to issue new orders to my squad). This is making boss fights and other tough fights almost impossible to beat at a reasonable difficulty.

Same thing happened to me as well. Abilities were either unclickable or stopped refreshing. Sometimes from one or both squadmates. Had to reload the game.

I experience the same problem as you do. I can keep firing, but I can't use my powers or my allies' powers.

Well at least now I know it's a real problem and not something I was doing wrong. Also didn't list my config in my first post:
Gigabyte H67MA-UD2H-B3
8 GB RAM
Intel Core i5-2400
AMD Radeon 6850 (x2 in Xfire)
80 GB Intel SSD (for OS)
1 TB HD (where ME3 is installed)

I have been experiencing the same thing. I have had success reloading from a save point but not consistently enough to call it a work around.
