So, I'm not familiar with roughly how long it takes to patch something like the "Black-Screen/Freeze" issue I'm having with ME3 for PS3. I've noticed there's a decent number of others having the same issue.

In the past there have been issues with games such as Dragon Age with patches and Bioware was quick to fix the issue and keep in contact with the forum community. It was nice to see the teamwork get results in a timely fashion.

Anyone who has a clue how an issue like this in a game know how long it takes to resolve something like this? It's all based around the use of the elevators in the Citadel. I'm hoping it will be fixed soon.

I want to try a second playthrough but I want to be able to do my side missions to get a better ending than last time. I thought I had a decent EMS score, I think it was too low. Without being able to get around the Citadel I think I'm out of luck till the patch comes along.

Thank you for taking the time and trying to fix the(some) issues.Posted Image

I cant keep wondering, how could you release a game in this state? The framerate is what really kills it for me.
Maybe you did not have the same issues on devstations? What about play testing? Posted Image

2. Holding Area crashing the PS3 (4 times out of 5)

Yeah this is what made a 10minute quest take me several hours to complete.

Luckily someone mentioned that if you pressed PS-button after the first loadingscreen and keep teh XMB up until the Holding area have finished loading, OR you are stuck with a blackscreen, and then just press teh PS-button again, the Holding area will be working, works pretty well, but not 100%.

I am posting this comment of mine from the framerate thread, here as well in hope that maybe I/we get finally an answer:

This is a perfect example of what I want ME3 team to do, concerning this issue that has spanned 30 pages so far.

http://social.biowar...ex/9715993&lf=8

Communication. Speak to us, please tell us something, tell us you are going to fix it or that you are not going to fix it, it is not so hard or complicated. We simply need to know that you guys are no longer "investigating" but that you are actually "working" on fixing this, or not.

I see 360 users complain about slow loading textures on shuttle bay armor (pS3 also has it) and I am baffled, because the issues with my version's poor performance are actually insanely more important than some slow loading textures. Bioware we deserve to know whether our performance is going to be improved or not. Please communicate with your fans. We feel ignored.

My problem with calling EA is that when I have reported issues, they always state that "we are unaware of this issue" followed by "Bioware is going to have to put a patch out for that" without any further response. They don't try to get any details.

The only issue I really had was the Black screen in the elevator when the system would freeze and force me to reboot. I got around it by getting into the elevator and saving the game directly before I go to the floor menu. This, to me, appears to allowing the game to load anything else that is running in the background and free up the memory for the floor change loading sequence. Could possibly also resolved with a hard drive install. Just an observation.

I understand that these issues take time to fix, but it is pretty frustrating to have to quick save every time I use the Citadel elevator just in case I won't make it through, or to just get frozen out of a multiplayer match (an issue I never had during the demo). I appreciate the hard work.

Thanks for telling us nothing in particular. How about acknowledging the faults you are going to address and when?

I think a lot of us already understand what patching is. We want to know what issues you are addressing in the next patch.

Thanks for that litttle educational 'update' on patching...But, like some other wise forum commentators have said, WHAT WILL THE IMPENDING PATCH 1.03 FIX?

I admire Bioware's products...You're games are like a NARRATIVE NARCOTIC!!! ME2 was the sole reason I pre-ordered the N7 Collector's Edition (that and the fact the game launch coincided with my birthday!), and capped out my broadband internet for the month downloading all the DLC...I make mention of this because I am SOUTH AFRICAN and broadband internet is Bloody expensive!!! We've all, regardless of nationality, had to pay bloody good de niro for ME3...So, I think it's only fair to mention that I'm "a tad" disappointed...

A little!!!! But, not too much...
Hhmm...all have to do now is wait for that "miracle patch"....Ohh, the agony! ;p

I'll bet an install option could fix a lot of the frame rate issues.

It'll fix the freezing as that is a loading fail error. The framerate issues are completely tied to software optimization issues.

but textures still need to be loaded while playing don't they? so if they're on the hard drive they will be able to load faster than from  the slow bluray disc player

thanks for the info Chris, I hope you can solve the freezing issues. because I stopped playing ME3 because of it.

All those hard reboots and searching for corrupted sectors on the HDD, makes me scared of bricking my PS3

Players who bought the downloaded version of ME3 directly from PSN are also complaining of framerate issues.

Texture loading won't affect framerate though. It just means there will be more pop in when the textures are loading off the disc...

I dont know if this is the spot to report some issues but I wanted to let you know the ones i've been having. I have the playstation 3 version to start off. I've only had about 5 issues.
-The most common issue I have is random portions of dialog get muted.
-Second most common is a random freeze that forces me to reboot, normally in the galaxy map
- ( I dont remember the system in game) but I exited a system and moved to another portion of it and it did the cut scene for when you take a mass relay.
-during the krogun fight on tuchanka where the clans meet I entered and killed everything. The door open, it lagged for a second and completely skipped over the scene and moved to the part where there on the road.

Hey, just going to mention it here, as no one from BioWare Tech Support seems to have checked out my thread yet, and I've been trying to get this sorted for over a week now.
My N7 Collector's Edition of the game for PS3 did not come with the CE Online Play code. As such, I have had half the game in effect, as I cannot use the Galaxy At War/Multiplayer at all. Also, I got none of the DLC items such as the hoodie, robot dog etc. The only DLC that came with my copy was for From Ashes.
I have contacted EA webchat, who fobbed me off with 'Contact retailer'; I contacted the retailer (Amazon.co.uk), who told me to contact EA or get a partial refund and standard edition of the game (as they have no more collector's editions); I contacted the @masseffect twitter account who said they'd help, but have since said they have escalated the query and no information on progress of this query.
All I need is a CE Online Play code. I would like to get not just the full game, but all I paid for altogether. I am now incredibly frustrated with having to constantly ask and push about this, when I really don't feel like I should have to.
I'm hoping someone on here can finally help me out.
