It might be worth noting that earlier today Chris Priestly informed me that another patch is in the works for all platforms.

No specifics as to what the patch will fix though.

But at least one is on the horizon.

I doubt the patch is worth anything. I mean how many patches were made that fixed nothing for this game?

Been holding off playing ME3 on my ps3 because I can't tell from reading these forums if it will ruin my console or if people are exaggerating. What is the scoop? Does the laser stay on the majority of the time? Is it guaranteed to corrupt the filesystem?

I can promise u this. Playing the game now will hard freeze ur console which can corrupt and kill your hdd if it happens enough.

I can promise u this. Playing the game now will hard freeze ur console which can corrupt and kill your hdd if it happens enough.

The Blu-Ray Laser does in fact get used almost nonstop, as the game installs absolutely no data to the HDD.

Do not buy this game.

Do not buy this game.

Already own it for the PCand PS3. That does not sound good for the laser. I will let the ps3 version sit until some sort of fix comes out

The disc literally comes out of my ps3 hot after an hour of play. I stopped playing it the3rd day after its release because it over heats my ps3 so much and it froze my ps3 a few times. No other game makes my ps3 over heat as much as Mass Effect 3.

agreed.  some people shouldn't even have their mic on. all they do is listen to loud music or talk to people in the background.

Damn. That is not good at all. So strange that there is no install

same issue. freezing started on day one and progressively got worse.  now i can't play the game for more than 5 minutes. never fails. it freezes as soon as i try to load any one of my campain files. if it does actually load, i only get about 5 minutes of play in before it locks up the entire system. also multiplayer freezes in the first wave, if it even gets that far before freezing. 

no other games to this to my ps3.

Best bet is to PM one of the Bioware staff or post to their twitter page.

Even then -- there is less than 1% chance they will reply.
I made the mistake of complaining too much about the shortcomings of Mass Effect 3 (despite liking it for what it is), and now get zero response from them.

That might also be because I'm part of the PS3 community and they hate us by default -- as is quite evident.
