I keep getting missions locked (I hope that's the right term..) as in I'll finish the mission but it's still in my Journal 'lit up' as not completed.. This happened with Kasumi's mission, got her to help with crucible but still lit.. & the Eclipse is also still lit but I Know I finished that too.. (it' was on my 2nd playthrough when it happened) Also the salarian Sayn won't talk to me so yeah.. stuck..

I own an Xbox 360 slim..

Hope this helps!

I can't level up characters anymore either.  I have not tried purchasing an item from the store. I did redeem my victory pack and I downloaded the patch from origin.  I get the level up message and the bar showing my adept went from 9 to 10 but when I exit the lobby the progress is gone.

Oh, that is multiplayer on the pc. I have not tried leveling up a single player character since the patch.

"Once they have a fix, they test it thoughoughly
in the game
. They also test to make sure that the fix does not effect
the game in some unexpected manner or introduce new issues."
I seriously cannot believe that line. There are no testers in Bioware and EA. You cannot release patch that cripples entire multiplayer for so many users and then say You've tested it thoughoughly. I just cannot believe it. It's just like with Microsoft Update for Windows. Nothings get tested, yet everything is released.

This game obviously wasn't ready for release, recently alot of games get released that are filled with bugs due to lack of testing but ME3 takes the cake.

As for the patches, they don't take months, most of the issues this game has could have been fixed 2-3 weeks after release, ofcourse Bioware fanboy's will now rush to defend Bioware but they can sod off, you can't defend something like this.

Any news, if they are working on a possible patch 1.03 right now?

Some things definetly need to be looked into:

- "Hanar Diplomats quest" is bugged (can't be completed by many players).
- Shepard gets stuck behind Joker on Normandy bridge on occassion
- Missing animation during Rachni/Aralakh Company quest (when squad is supposed to fall down into the hole)
- characters turn their heads 180 degrees (most noticable during first conversation between Shepard/Liara on Normandy)
- squadmate pathfinding issues (squadmates get stuck during mission on occassion and won't follow player)

There's a problem in my single player.I believe it's an issue on other players too. Sometimes, the powers stop working properly, or never work properly.Per example, my characters with biotics don't have guided warp most of the time. When they work as they should, other powers stop working, like throw losing the homing feature or shockwave being just fireworks. But this freaky ocurrence only happens in single palyer.

Here are other issues I believe need fixing

Sometimes on the Normandy, when I'm on deck three and attempt to go to deck two, the game crashes.

Also, I encountered a few bugs on Cronos Station during Priority: Cerberus Headquarters. One includes the cutscene leading to the remains of the Human-Reaper through the hole drop. Once, my Shepard just fell through and out of the station, resulting in instant death. Another was at the catwalk leading to the Illusive Man's office. Just as I was walking across it, Shepard fell through them and I was forced to reload my save.

Here are few things to patch, I found during playing... PC VERSION!

1. The first reaper that you see landing – the one wich kills the commitie with the dark energy beam – simply disappears after the human dreadnought is destroyed and you fall down from the ridge because of the wave of the explosion. Before the explosion it’s there after that, when you take a look back it’s gone, missing. Image IPB

2. I know that it’s an eagle’s eye thing but when the little kid runs into the building where you see him int he vent the door of the building is closed: the lock is red… should be green and turn red after he got inside.

3. Another eagle eye thingy: When the kid gets on to the Shuttle the person next to him is a civilian who all of a sudden turns into an Alliance soldier (you only see his\\her leg: it’s on the boy’s left) – it's possible texture-skin bug.

4. When you catch your dog tag during saying good bye to Anderson, you catch it with your right hand while you hold your assault riffle with the left a second later you hold the riffle with the right hand… hmmm…

5. On Mars it happened to me several times that when you see Dr. Eva on a monitor for the first time (the one on which Eva is using a controll paner of some sort) 3\\4 of the monitor suffers some sort of texture glitch… it turns into a mass of RGB textures.

6. Again on Mars when you look up to the sky, you can see that there’s a strange round-shaped spot in the middle. It must be a background-skyline composition bug.

7. The first time you can talk to Liara on the Normandy there’s a glitch: When you ask her about the drone, Glyph (under the investigate option as far as I can recall), during the answer Shepard follows Glyph with his head, turning it left… after that his had remains in that position for the rest of the conversation.

8. Everybody in the Normandy – especially Traynor and Javik - can turn their heads back almost a 180 degrees when they talk to you and you stand behind them. Quite twisted… Image IPB

9. During the Eclipse mission when you go to Bailey's the animation of Shepard entering Bailey’s office is glitched: you arrive through the wall.

10. When you enter Udina’s office for the first time the door opens behind you, like you entered the room through a closed door – obviously an animation glitch.

11. Huerta Memorial: there’s an asari who asks for some AMP modifications in fron of a room next to the decontamination corridor. There’s and NPC walking back and forth between that room and the hospital rooms… well she can walk through Shepard like a ghost. It occured to me with other walking NPC-s on the Citadell (it must be a general problem).

12. During the Kasumi mission with the „big stupid jellyfish” there’s a sentence Shepard says at the Docks during radio conversation to Kasumi which is glitched: it’s the one which tells Kasumi that „I thought you still in love with Kaj Jee (spelling?).” or something like that. In the middle of the sentence Shep goes silent – that one is cut. It’s before the sentence where Kasumi says „I may be nostalgic but not dead.”

13. In Grissom Academy when you meet Khalee Sanders she’s holding a shotgun. Well when she’s walking towards you that shotgun disappears from her hands during your first meeting.

14. In Grissom Academy when you enter Orion Hall where Jack tries to protect her students you see 2 or 3 Cerberus troopers shooting at Jack and 2 of her students from a short distance. There’s no biotic barrier or anything… they should be dead, or there’s a biotic barrier missing. Image IPB

15. When you enter an Atlas which is still intact (you didn’t shoot it’s windows) it’s windows are broken like you shot them (it’s especially obvious at the end of the Grissom Academy mission or at the main Cerberus Base where you can enter one which is not used by anyone).

16. Another general issue is that sometimes your squadmates get stuck at certain points – places of interest where they try to show you something, in front of ladders etc.). Not that annoying, but you still have to reload.

17. A general sound issue is that when you enter a room after loading (esp. in the Normandy) or you just loaded the game the first sentence they tell you (usually it’s autodialog) is mute – you can only see the subtitle if it is on. Especially obvious with Traynor’s comments.

18. In the Normandy you can hear footsteps at places where there’s no one around you (the captians cabin!!!, The main corridor at Engineering (above the Shuttle bay).

19. In the Normandy’s cockpit there’s a certain area behind Joker where Shepard gets stuck. You can’t move, so you have to reload.

20. In Sur’kesh, at the second checkpoint – where you have to give your approval for the container to go to the next one – during the cuscene your gun disappears from your hand. It’s pretty easy to notice because you hold up your gun.

21. Again in Sur’kesh when Mordin\\other guy talks to you via radio during action and you can see him through the containment shield, the person’s mouth does not move. (there’s only one ocassion when it’s obvious: when the container is stuck because the power grid is offline). Yeah I know, that it’s nitpicky.

22. Again in Sur’kesh there’s fire on the other side of the compound which has the same lighting effect as the sun: it creates a shaft. It’s the fire you can see from the room where the Varren kills a Cerberus soldier. You have a great view of it when you go to small balcony next to the ladder where you can find some salvageable materials.

23. I noticed it several times: when you kill an engineer the turret on his back may remain intact. It won’t activate and shoot you, but the map\\radar shows it as an enemy and your squadmates react on it accordingly – except they do not notice it and shoot at it.

24. There are times when turrets go invisible and you can only notice them by the red aiming frame.

25. There are times when enemys get stuck inside objects like trucks etc.. Unfortunately you can’t kill them then… so you have to reload.

26. In the MP there are ocassions when the enemies fall down a ridge and they don’t die but float in the air… you have to kill them somehow. If you push an enemy into the deep by biotic power or whatever they should die.

27. When an enemy jumps off a rooftop or ridge and you use concussive shot or push\\warp etc. on them they are pushed inside the wall… afterwads the reappear. Obivous graphical glitch.

28. There’s a salarian doctor in Huerta Memorial who ask for some kind of biotic enhancement. When you deliver the item to him there’s a heavily glitched animation which shows the doc. The camera angle seems out of place and sensless. The mission ends by gaining 90XP: I don’t know wether it’s a glitch or not, but you don’t get any war asset from him.

29. There’s a MAJOR ANIMATION GLITCH concerning Shepard when you talk to the salarian dalatrass via vidcom before the Genophage cure. I gave the pro-krogan answer to her. Shepard’s animation is glitched heavily…it’s pretty annoying.

30. When Wrex\\Wreav enters the „Hollows” in the cutscene after you kill the husks, his mouth\\nose slurs with or is in the lock-hologram. It’s an obvious animation glitch.

31. On Thuchanka when you get out of the truck during the cutscene where you see the Shroud for the first time you can’t see the reaper – it’s missing. After the cutscene you can see it clearly.

32. When you meet Balak, the whole conversation is poorly animated. Firts he points his gun to Shep’s head and the gun makes a slight position shift. Then you choose the renegade\\intimidate option, Shepard turns around and faces Balak. But when Balak leaves Shepard is shown in his original position, turning his back towards Balak and then turn around.

33. At the end of the Coup there’s a camera angle glitch: after Udina or the VS is killed everybody leaves the scene via the door: at the ending of the scene there are two pretty strange and senseless camera angles showing one of your squadmates leaving and showing an empty place with a bar.

34. During Thane’s dying scene: the music is glitched… it slides at a point if it makes sense.

35. Thane’s death: when Thane died his eyelids and eyes are still in motion and he’s still breathing. Hmm…

36. The one mission at the Docks about the documentary film given by the salarian film maker: it’s glitched. if you take some photos at the wrong places the mission can’t be finished – it won’t let you take a photo of the gambling table where Vega is playing poker.

37. When you meet Kaidan as you go back to the Normandy, after the Coup he salutes you. First with his left hand (profile perspective)… then the camera angel changes (Shepards over the shoulder perspective) and shows him saluting you with right hand. Obvious animation glitch! You salute only with your right hand!!! Image IPB

38. During Jacob’s mission when you enter the Hangar with Jacob, there’s a strange camera angle glitch at the very beginning of the scene.

39. Another camera angle glitch during Jacobs mission is when you take Garrus with you and Jacob says hello to him. The camera angle is quite wrong. It shows you instead of Garrus. And when Garrus answers the camera does not show Garrus but an empty wall instead.

40. When you enter the shuttle after Jacobs mission Shepard is vibrating. It’s a lighting glitch.

41. Samara mission: when you first meet Samara, at the end of the conversation – when you hear the Bashee’s screaming – Shep and company pull their guns, but when Samara says somehting along the lines of „being too late” they show Shep and co. again saying „wait” and thier guns are not pulled, but on their backs… obvious animation glitch.

42. Int he geth dreadnought: there’s a sequence when Shep almost falls down with the damaged elevator but runs for the ridge and Tali catches him. If you start running too early the scene ends with a camera angle glitch. It shows the ridge, but focuses on no one: there’s no one on that take.

43. After Tali helps Shepard to climb up from the ridge after the elevator fell, Tali does not hold her gun, but is in the position of holding it. (Gun disappears from Tali’s hand)

44. During the beginning of the last Ranoch mission (with the Reaper and the climax of the whole quarian-geth war) Shepard hands a stone to Tali. Well the stone disappears so Shep hands a piece of nothing instead to Tali.

45. Don’t know wether it is a glitch or a deliberate effect (if it is, then it’s pretty annoying) but when you talk to the dying reaper in Ranoch, it’s like the whole world – including Shep – is shaking around you.

46. There’s a squad banter on the Normandy when Garrus talks to his father via radio about them trying to escape from Palaven. When he loses radio contact he says something like: Spirits… IF YO DO EXIST … please…” Well the one with caps. is missing – you can only see it with subtitles.

47. Ending glitch: In the Citadell when you are in the control panel room with TIM and Anderson you see cars moving in the backround\\ on the Wards. It must be a huge texture bug.

48. Another ending glitch:”M1M” texture on the corridor of the Citadell. That’s a place which supposed to be untouched by living beings. M1M are human marks.

49. HUGE ending glitch: even those squadmates may get out of the Normandy’s hatch untouched and alive who were killed by Harbinger (the ones you take with you on the last run to the beam).

50. During the ending sequence there’s a scene which shows the whole Milky Way (when the space magic \\ dark energy blast spreads throw the entire galaxy) – well the blast supposedly starts from the Solar-system, but during this sequence it starts off from some other system at the brink of the galaxy, pretty far from Sol. ???

51. During the ending sequence is it deliberate that your gun has infinite ammo capacity and you don’t even have to reload?

52. One of the Turians (the one who's walking back and forth in the corridor where Udina's office takes place) ocassionally starts floating.

53. In Kite's Nest when you enter the Untrel-system the Relay-jump cutscene launches (while you obviously don't make a relay jump).

54. The Minos Wasteland keeps flashing throughout half the game while there's no quest available in that system. The planet Aequitas is flashed out by the green name-tag on it, but when I move there, nothing happens... you cant scan it or do anything else with it (other than read the info about the planet).

55. It happened to lots of people who romanced Tali that even if she diead in Ranoch (if you chose the geth over the quarians) that before the Cronos Station (Cerberus HQ) mission starts off, somehow the Tali love sequence happens, launches.

56. So fishes can fly after all... some pointed out a glitch where fishes from the fishtank miraculously get out and are "swiming" in the air, in Shep's cabin.

57. Many have a problem in MP (espcecially who play vanguard in the resurgence missions) that their character starts to float or fly off.

58. Reaper (Souverign class) disappears in Thessia: the one which passes you by and shooting at buildings suddenly disappear after the scene where you help the commando sniper. ... it's just gone, like the one in the prologue.

59. During the Rachni/Aralak Company mission there is a MAJOR animation bug. As there is no animation at all in one scene. When your sqaud is supposed to fall down into that hole, there is no animation of your team falling. You just see the characters talking to each other about falling down into the hole. Then there is a cut and your sqaud magically re-appears down the hole.

60. The "Hanar Diplomats" quest cannot be completed, as you can't access one of the necessary consoles.

61. A MP issue:
Geth Plasma Shotgun sometimes starts refusing to charge mid-match. It will simply fire upon the button being clicked like any other gun.The Kishock Harpoon Gun does the same thing.

62. Another MP issue: The Geth SMG will sometimes stop shooting mid-burst and after this refuse to fire bursts but instead simply fire single shots. This happens mid-match for no reason whatsoever, same symptoms as the above two. I haven't used the Striker assault rifle much but it stands to reason this gun has the same issue, being an ROF-increase gun.

63. Again a MP issue: Sometimes the missile launcher will refuse to fire whether unaimed or aimed, it will simply make a few sounds instead of firing - repeatedly.

64. Outstanding and bad texturing during the ending sequence: there are two great pile of dead bodies on both sides of the Beam as you enter. Just look at them: straight out of a game from 15 years ago. It makes it more obvious that the ending was rushed as hell.

65. Rannoch destroyer: If you choose the Renegade interrupt when talking to the Rannoch Destroyer, the Destroyer's red "eye" never stops glowing even after getting blasted to death again. Otherwise, the "eye" stops glowing when it dies without the Renegade interrupt. You'll end up talking to Tali about the beach-front property with a Reaper's red eye still staring if you chose the interrupt and she lives.

66. Matriarch Aethyta dialogue problem: When Shepard mentions to Aethyta that he's seen her watching Liara, Aethyta's next dialog often gets cut off before stating that she's Liara's father. It seems to happen at the point where her dialog would have normally stopped if Shepard hasn't seen Aethyta watching Liara in ME2.

67. Liara's monitors on the Normandy: When entering Liara's cabin (usually when she has nothing to say to anyone), the monitors on the wall rotate both according to where Shepard is standing (as usual) in addition to which way Shepard is facing (totally wrong -- they flip around all over the place as Shepard spins around). The fix is to leave their area of detection (such as going to Liara's bed or back out her door) and return. They will, then, focus only on where Shepard is standing like they are supposed to do.

68. Liara"s monitors No2: Some conversations with Liara in her room cause the monitors to stop reacting to anything, Liara or Shepard and they just focus on some location in the room. I haven't figured out this pattern, yet.

69. Thuchanka animation glitch: When Shepard jumps over the wall to start the first part of the run towards the Reaper at the Shroud, the animation is happening a little too fast like a brief fast-forward moment..

70. (Already acknowledged as a bug and unlikely to get fixed) If one does not take Ashley onto the Normandy, the romance between Ken and Gabby will not play as well as the flirting banter between Garrus as Tali (with Tali in the Engine room and Garrus over intercom)

71. Sound issue: When the audio's Dynamic Range is set to High in the game's options, the relay gate jump plays irrationally loud compared to everything else, and many low-freq sounds often get clipped (distorted) even if the volume settings are set low -- meaning they are clipping before applying the volume. Also, Joker's banter dialog sounds very distant with this setting.

72. Sound issue: (Excluding the high-dynamic range audio issue by using the low setting:) Joker's banter sounds like it is coming from his location at the helm except when he has nothing more to say and responds with "Commander". At that point, it sounds like it is actually coming from Shepard instead using Joker's voice.

73. For one specific line when Legion/not-Legion speaks in the escape vehicle on Rannoch (Reaper base), one of the crew in the back (right-side of the vehicle) performs the talking gestures instead of Legion/not-Legion.It also happens when Shepard says that they will not leave, but to pull over and finish it with the reaper.

towards the commons and slightly to the right while Shepard is standing next to where Liara has her "lock-in" romance dialog at the railing that looks out over the Presidium. These missing walls cause that weird, trippy trailing effect at their locations.

75. The doors on the Engineering deck respond to Shepard standing underneath them in the Shuttle Bay.

76. When Shepard is looking down into Docking Bay E24 (Refugee Holding Area) from Docking Bay D24 (Normandy dock) at the security station and up to the Elevator on the Citadel, the Refugee Holding Area is completely empty of people but still has all the shipping crates and other furniture.

77. For the final, slo-motion targeting of the Rannoch Destroyer, the Reaper only faces the center of Shepard's walking area and not toward Shepard if Shepard's standing off to the side.

 78. When Shepard "sprints", his squad speeds up as well, but they do not have a "sprinting" animation variation like Shepard, and they look like they're just running normally but fast-forward.

79. A slight animation glitch. When Traynor finishes showing Shepard the various locations of the Normandy and leaves telling Shepard that Hackett wants to talk in the comm room, the camera focuses on Shepard and Shepard stares after her with a very odd expression for several extended beats and then faces the fishtank as the scene fades with the exact same weird expression.

80. If Shepard has taken the first Renegade interrupt when fighting ("dancing") with Vega, Vega gets a bloody nose as expected. If Shepard misses the first Paragon interrupt, Shepard gets a bloody nose as expected. When finished, Shepard's bloody nose vanishes (if Shepard had one) while Vega stands at his station with a bloody nose still (if Vega had one). It seems odd for Vega not to at least find a rag to wipe his nose if Shepard manages it. Seeing Vega talk afterward with it seems even more silly as he acts like there's nothing wrong.

89. The chest texture on the shirtless guys has bump mapping far too high to have any realism to it. This becomes exceedingly apparent when viewed at higher angles to the mesh surface. Vega in a T-Shirt has the same issue making it look like he has breasts instead of body-built built pecs.

is awake and still in the hospital bed, they still have the dirty, bloody face. This seems very odd in a hospital, especially when it's "the best care on the Citadel". Bruised is one thing. Dirty and bloody is another. (I won't go into how the Virmire Survivor should have a hospital gown if their clothes were taken away. Okay. I guess I just did go into it.)

91. Ending glitch: Despite how the final two+Joker (or one+Joker+EDI) squadmates to step out of the Normandy (if anyone) are determined by some hidden "friendship" variable, Javik appears far too often without regard for other actions for it to be accurate. As mentioned before it might also happen if Javik actually dies during the final run.

92. The first time you run into Dr Eva (just after talking to the illusive man) there are 2 instances of her. One is at the console trying to download the data but there is a clone of her standing just around the corner that you get a quick glimpse of at the start of the scene.

93. Major animation glitch: Talking to Dr Chakwas on board the Normandy has major animation glitches including heads facing the wrong way and characters walking through the furniture. Actually there is a scene where Dr. Chackwas and Shepard share drinks which is heavily glitched animationwise. She doesn't look at the right direction (at Shepard) and the information board she holds in her hand... well tends to dissappear in her body and arm... go and check it out.

94. Animation glitch: When Shepard shakes hands with Admiral Hackett (when he gets on board the Normandy) there's an animation glitch: during shaking hands Shepard does not turn his\\her head towards Hackett and look into his eyes but he turns his\\her head left in a very unnatural way.

95. A MP issue:
Earlier today I came across an issue where my level 7 Infiltrator had -32 skill points, so each level I gained I noticed there was less minus. It turned out my level had somehow gone down but my skills stayed, so I had skills of a higher level. If you have this issue, just level up to the level your skills are at and it will be fixed :-) I hope this helps anybody having this issue.

Is there any intention to CORRECTLY fix face importing? I know you CAN import now, but it's generally an abomination due to missing hairstyles, eyes, lips, whatever.

I'm not going to buy ANY DLC, until this game will be fixed and fully playable like ME1 or ME2 was after 1.02 patches. So I hope that new patch is coming soon...

*Once they have a fix, they test it thoughoughly in the game. They also test to make sure that the fix does not effect the game in some unexpected manner or introduce new issues.

*Once a collection of issues are fixed by the team it is put into a patch and sent off to EA and our partners at Microsoft and Sony for whats is called Certification. They also run tests to make sure that our fix works and that it does not introduce any new issues to the game or their systems.

Sorry Chris, but I think ya'll skipped this part in new  patch.

Please make sure that after an update (in my case Origin and the latest patch for ME3) DLC is still playable. Since the mentioned updates I get the message that "From Ashes" could not be authorized with my BW/Origin-Account, though it is listed as "Purchased" on the my social.bioware.com-site and within the Origin client. I'm no longer able to continue playing ME3 because of that and it is very frustrating.

Bioware, EA force us to come here to receive in-game "support", there fore put some of that money you've been raking in from DLC packs that don't help the main part of the game at all and pay someone to communicate on YOUR forums. If this is the only way to report problems you actually need to TALK to us. Fix your game if you ever want me to purchase another

Ha ha ha. That's what I say to people who think Bioware is gonna patch this game up to an acceptable level for us. They've done all they're going to do. Now they just want your money. Its been more than three months on the multiplayer side of things and almost no major glitches have been successfully patched on the PC. There are over 30 important, game compromising bugs in the multi side and the good Doctors can't be bothered to ask their staff to fix these. Sheesh

Hey hi. I hope this is the right place to post this. I went onto Games/Mass Effect 3/Game Patches to download the patch, but there is no where to click to start the downlaod. What am I missing?

Thanks

I'm with Saranar on this - I want to download the ME3 patch (on a PC without Origin & ME3, but with a decent network speed) and apply it to ME3 (on my game PC with a rubbish network connection).

Pretty please???

Patching is done through Origin.

Having siad that, I was able to download an updated Origin outside of Origin, and previous versions of Mass Effect allowed me to download patches (outside of Origin). I would like to be able to download ME3 patches outside of Origin as well. Sureley that's not a lot to ask?

"Once they have a fix, they test it thoughoughly

the game in some unexpected manner or introduce new issues."

Don't be so cynical. I know for a fact that they bought a computer that they test everything thoroughly on. They popped by last September at my garage sale and they were thrilled to buy my old pentium. I made 8 bucks too (I wanted 10).
