I'm trying to do a rip & reinstall to see if it helps my current issue (which seems to have completly buggered my controls in multiplayer) and I was looking for the uninstaller and couldn't find one. We can't uninstal from the origin systems it pointed me to where all the programs should be located (and the ability to uninstall) ME2 was there but not ME3.

There should be an option in origin to uninstall... I had to do that with Amalur due to a bad install glitch. If that is not working you can try using (win 7) the programs and features section in the control panel (same thing as add/remove programs in xp).

Hope that helps

Yea thats what I did right click and uninstall and it opens up the programs and features section and when you search for "Mass" there are no items that match the search.

I see it in my Software list, so I think you had a bad install in general, if your uninstall thing is missing.

You might try the "Repair Install" option that is in Origin. If that doesn't work... Cut and paste the folder to your desktop then try to reinstall it. I say cut and past to your desktop so you can return the folder back to where it goes if there is any issues. Don't delete it for good until you get it reinstalled properly.

That is very odd... A repair install will probably be your best bet then. (As Absolut mentioned)

I have the same problem and neither a repair install nor moving the folder and having Origin redownload and reinstall the game fixed it. My roommates computer has Mass Effect 3 listed in the Programs and Features page of the Control Panel, but mine doesn't what is up with this?

I have the same problem, I can not uninstall it too. I install the game with the disks from the collectors Edition. There is no uninstall in control Panel, bioware should patch this problem soon please!

GOT IT!!!!

For some reason the installer doesn't create the registry keys for the game aside from a pair of firewall rules. The uninstaller is on the system, just not listed in the registry.

To uninstall Mass Effect 3, simply open a command prompt with admin privilages and run the following line:

C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Common Files\\EAInstaller\\Mass Effect 3\\Cleanup.exe" uninstall_game -autologging

Will do some research and find what else might need to be added. Once I'm certain I will upload .key file for people to add the missing entries.

if you are on a 32 bit system, the command would be

C:\\Program Files\\Common Files\\EAInstaller\\Mass Effect 3\\Cleanup.exe" uninstall_game -autologging

You have to buy the Uninstaller DLC content from bioware before you remove one of their games!

Oh, sorry. I misunderstood your question. That part of the line is a parameter for running the
Cleanup.exe file. The easiest way to run an executable (.exe) file with
extra parameters is to open a command prompt and then type the entire
line I gave earlier into the prompt.

To open a command prompt with admin privilages, click on your start menu, then in the search box at the bottom type "cmd".

There should be a program at the top of the list named "cmd.exe" with an icon that looks like a black box with "C:\\_" typed in it.

Right click on this program and select "Run as administrator".

If/when prompted by Windows to allow the program to run, agree.

Type the following line into the command prompt and hit "Enter".

For 32 bit systems "C:\\Program Files\\Common Files\\EAInstaller\\mass Effect 3\\Cleanup.exe" uninstall_game -autologging
For 64 bit systems "C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Common Files\\EAInstaller\\mass Effect 3\\Cleanup.exe" uninstall_game -autologging

Make sure you type or copy the line entirely, with the opening quotation mark before C:\\

For me when I ran this installer and then reinstalled the game via Origin (not the DVDs) it installed properly with all registry entries and is now present in my control panel.

Edit: Upon further review of the posts, it would appear the problem is the absence of the first" in yout line. it should read "C:\\, not C:\\. Sorry about that.

It can happen either way. My roommate installed from the DVDs and it installed without a problem, for me it left out some registry entries, The first time I reinstalled by downloading, it still left out registry entries, though that could be because I didn't run the uninstaller first.

Ideally we need someone who has gotten the error to try reinstalling from the DVDs after running the uninstaller and see if it happens again.
