Scratch what I said before. As others have pointed out, it's probably just a message from before a new game starts.

Possible, but the way the VI survivor treats Shep at the begining doesn't make it sound like they'd be inteersted in paying Shep a visit.  They seem way more hesitant about who Shep is at that point and even say to Vegas something along the lines of "I thought I knew Shepard".

Sorry, OP. Check the ME datapad topic. Somebody posted that they got this after Ashley/Kaidan got injured. It's not a post-game message.

Where is this topic? I've always wanted to see what things are on it during the game (Blackberry user here... :P )

My theory is that that message is a glitch and you're supposed to get that before the game starts.

Read it again with that context in mind. Doesn't that sound like something you would say to a friend who's under house arrest? As opposed to a person who may or may not be alive on a planet you may or may not be on?

That was the general conclusion when it was brought up last night.

There are issues with that conclusion.  For instance, Ashley's version uses the word "skipper", which isn't accurate until after you leave Earth at the start of the game.  And also, the time window in which the message would actually apply (it would have needed to be sent BEFORE the Reapers attacked) is about five minutes - i.e. when VS learns you're alive and when the first Reaper lands on Earth.  You'd have to assume that VS decided to visit you, got permission, and sent the message all in the space of that five minutes.

But it's also possible that whoever wrote the message wasn't thinking about the logistics of the situation when they wrote it.

I got emails from Anderson.

It's odd though, because the date is listed as 2012/3/7. Suspension of disbelief shattered.

It can't be a message from the start of the game because shep is shocked to see Kashley Wilenko,I belive at some point early in the game they appologize for not contacting you or seeinv you, might be part of the LI dialouge or something.

Someone already posted the Ashley one. When he replayed the game, it was sent at the beginning -- assuming it refers to when Shepard is on trial in Earth, as opposed to the end (when he first got the message).

Ashley refers to Shepard as Skipper after becoming close to him on ME1 and in ME2's letter post horizon.  Someone already replayed the game to see exactly WHEN the message was sent, and it's sent at the beginning when Shepard is on trial.

Actually, can somebody say what Ashleys message was? Or state if Kaiden said nothing about avoiding to talk to you in the Intro? Because I know for a fact that Ash wouldnt visit you during alliance lockdown, since she just couldnt face you or something stupid like that..

Something like "Hey Skipper, they said I might be able to visit you soon. Hang in there!"

And, yeah, Ashley mentions how she was going to visit you but couldn't bring herself to.

I think it's a glitch and that it was meant to be sent while Ash/Kaidan was in the hospital, it sounds just like that.

No it's sound like Shepard is in hospital and Kaidan/Ash wants to visit him/her

There is NO post-game save.(even the auto-save goes back to before the last mission). The app would have no way of knowing if you beat the game. That message can't possibly have anything to do with your endgame choices. If people are getting it after a 'destroy' option, it is just a coincidence.

This really makes no sense in any place in the game.

"They..might let me come see you"...

At what point is Shepard not able to see visitors?

Again, in the very beginning when Shepard is on trial.  A lot of characters throughout the game mention how they "were going to see him, but didn't/couldn't."

I don't know man... that "Here's hoping" and "Hang in there" sounds suspicious to me. Keep in mind Ashley is still feeling awkward around until the middle of the game and in the beginning... she can't even see your face without having a doubt. When she says "Skipper" that means she fully trust you which is almost at the end of the game

What app is this? Avalaible on Android? Also, im sure you're supposed to get this message way before the ending like the hospital.

In fact there is post-game save on PC called LegendSave.pcsav. It's not  accessable in game though
