I've played pretty much all your games, and I have loved them all!
I've got all achievements in Dragon Age but one, Traveler.
I've read tons of posts on several different forums, and no one has ever had a clear answer on what is wrong with the achievement. Some say it's the % explored, some say only general Main Quest areas are requried.
Some say you need to play a certain origin. Some say you need / dont need DLC's.
I've played 3 playthroughs JUST for this achievement. One as Mage, one as Dwarf Warrior and one as Human Rogue. On all 3 playthroughs I have completed every single possible Q. I even did Bhelens and Harrowmonts start Quest, but only completed Harrowmonts. Same went for K and D. When the Landsmeet is over my quest log is empy except for "The Final Onslaught" and "Crimw Wave" - which I go and complete directly as I leave the estate.
One one playthrough I went without any DLC, on the second with only Stone Prisoner, and on the last with both.
On my playthroughs I finished with 97% on first, 98% on second and even 100% on my last.
Now how come I don't get the achievement?
Iv'e seen tons of posts with people who have the same problem as me.
Do I have to side with a certain combination of factions?
Do I need a certain DLC or Origin?
Or is this achievement simply bugged?
And if it is, when can we expect a patch?
I am so sick of being mocked on forums, people calling me a nolifer, and "It's just an achievement", well for me it's not. I payed for this game and I want to enjoy it to the fullest.

Please bioware, do something about this, don't let down one of your hardcore fans.
At least bless me with an answer. I dont have time to do more playthroughs just to be dissappointed.

Thanks for reading.

It's just an achievement.

You don't need to play all the Origins, one will suffice, you don't need to own any DLC. I got it on my first playthrough, just out of sheer 'luck'.

The original poster is the reason why achievements in games are a bad gameplay addition. Obsessing over a single picture is not good game design.

Neither Bioware nor EA have any say on the matter whether there should be achievements in games or not. If they want to release a game on the Xbox then they have to abide by Microsoft's rules. Arguing against it is a moot point.

It works, doesnt it? Achievements are fun to hunt.

It may be good design but it doesn't sound like the OP is having so much fun playing the game because of those achievements.

I can tell you I got the achievement on my first play through. You must be missing some place in the game....though I will be honest I am not sure where that would be. It is possible to do it in one playthrough though.

Something is wrong with the achievement. Many player got it on the first playthrough. But there are also many player who cant unlock this achievement. On my 4 playthrough i did every sidequest, still not unlocked.

I am sure, if you dont get this achievement on the first playthrough, you will never unlock it. Unlocked every other achievement.

So Bioware, please take a look at this problem.

What's the point of all these achievements anyway?
Really, I don't understand. If I didn't know that some players actually care for them, I'd say that EA should've called this system 'a real challenge for those mentally challenged'.

And what is the point of offending people with that "I am holier than thou cos I dont pursue achievements" kind of attitude?

I dont understand all that sugary drooling over idiot Alistair personaly, but then I say what I think about NPC and dont try to insult all the girlies swooning over him.

Some people want achievements. Some people like apple pie. Some dont. Its simple as that. Wanting or not wanting achievements doesnt make you a better person; respecting that someone may pursue something you dont does.

Traveler achievement is broken, that is what matters here, not how somebody thinks everyone should play their game.

Achievements are fun little badges but part of the reason my LIVE Gamerscore is crap is because that's all they are to me. I don't care about them, I get achievements along the way, sure, but I don't go out of my way to find them. I let them come to me. I suppose I don't get as many, but it's less of a pain in the neck when trying to play a game for fun.

I had not gotten this achievement before today, on over multiple playthroughs I had been to all areas of the game, but this time I went to them all on the same playthrough and that gave the achievement when I got to the rooftop with the archdemon. So I guess the area unlocked does not carry over from character to character.

Hey, Just so everyone knows, and I want you to pass it around if you see anyone else wondering about the traveler achievment.

I just unlocked it like 2 minutes ago, and unlike what everyone is saying you do NOT need 100% world explored.

I just got it with 91% explored in the end at the Archdemon Battle. Just make sure to go into every spot. There are guides around the net that let you know which places are needed and which are not.

Good Luck

I have 99% on one of my toons, I played 11 times and I rolled at least 2 character especially for that one. I set foot in every possible nook in the game - and I never got it. So screw that achievement, its obviously bugged for me.

I know what you mean, I could probably get them all on the PS3 but I don't want to do any other origin then the Magi or Human Noble at the moment, but it would annoy me if it was the last trophy and I didn't unlock it despite covering 100% of the map. It's not exactly a game killer though really.
