This hypothetical bug, is it console-only?

one thing i really dislike about this game. i wish it would list the item acquired at the bottom. i hate completing a quest or getting a quest. etc. and seeing "item received" then i get to go searching to see what i got..... h8~

Is "Rogue" the new synonym for "gimped warrior with only 1-2 talent/skill specs worth investing in" in the DOA universe?

Every fight, I can lead off with a stealth crit, arrow of slaying, crit arrow, then another stealth crit, then switch to dual weild and do stun poison, stun traps, dirty fighting, and riposte for almost continuous stuns/backstabs until arrow of slaying comes back up. For crowds, I maxed out poison crafting and always have 20+ AoE bombs ready to use, usually in 4 categories so I can chain them for a quick 400+ AoE damage.
And with such a high dex score, and combat stealth, my main character almost never dies, despite almost always having agro because of his insane damage. I'm no slouch at micromanagement, and I used a Morrigan nuker setup, but my main character rogue still averaged 40-60% of party damage throughout the campaign.
To put it another way, I got mana clash for Morrigan because of so many 2+ mage fights in the later parts of the game. I regretted it afterward, though, because my rogue would kill even orange mages before Morrigan could get the spell off, even using pause religiously.
A disclaimer: I'm using the dex bug hotfix with shortbows.

I haven't seen this bug on the pc, although sometimes it's hard to figure out what you've received. As mentioned above, if you already have a stack of the item in question, it won't go to the top of the list even if you have it sorted by 'newest'.Sero03 wrote...
i must admit, i havent seen a single item or coin from my "successful" steals. i'm on ps3

Thats what I understand in fact thats one of the reasons I choose not to play mage. I dont even take Morrigan with me most of the time.

First thing you have to stop doing is Min/Maxing your characters stats. That right off will hurt you big time since ALL stats affect a character in some way. dumping into cunning isn't going to make you a god of cunning.
Daggers are NOT the be all end all weapons for a rogue and DAO is trying hard to break that mold. Try a variety of combo's and you will see rogues can do a tremendous amount of dmg quickly. Rogues easily have the largest weapon drop pool to pick from in game. In my first run through i had about 20 weapons in my storage chest for a combat rogue that i never used.

i mean with a warrior its pretty much get the str for massive armor, the minimum dex for skills, then stack willpower for stamina. you wont really deviate from that build very much.
with a mage its just stack magic and get enough willpower to cast a few spells while maintaining whatever persistent spells you use, then use mana pots like a madman.
with a rogue you actually have a choice. you can go with lethality and go with a high cunning build, or you can go with a str build for large weapons. you can go with a higher dex build and be good at archery, daggers, and even being able to perform as a mini-tank... you will still need to stack willpower for stamina with your points after you get the stats for gear, but you actually have a choice on how to spread your stats.
rogues also provide some really unique tools like pickpocket, opening locks, disarming traps, and stealth opens up a whole new playstyle no other class offers.
if any class needs some things added to it so its more interesting it would be warriors. i think warriors are good and fun, there isnt really much wrong with them, but compared to rogues and mages they arnt very flashy or unique.

+ Without the Dexterity hotfix, daggers are weak. Dexterity is supposed to add damage to piercing weapons. Without the hotfix, only Cunning does (with Lethality).
+ He didn't say stealing was bugged, he said stealing fills his pockets with air. And let's face it. Even at level 20, I was still finding Leather Helm (Cured) in locked chests and hardly anything more valuable than that. The loot in this game is pretty sad, and merchants only pay somewhere between 15-20% of the value. Picking pockets gets you a Lesser Health Poultice or a few silver.
And everyone tears the OP apart? This "Community" has gone WAY downhill since EA Games took over.

without the fix my priority was usually mages>melee>archers , after the fix it changed to mages>archers>melee.
its not that big of a deal.

Well at least these forums have a great build-in w***er filter. Every time i see a post beginning with "L2P" or with flames on typing mistakes i know there's no point in reading on cause those fellas have nothing to say at all (besides that they need some love...maybe? I dunno know and don't want to, to be honest)
