I've gotten a circle in Orzammar with Dagna she does the lyrium vapor thing then they open a circle in Orzammar. Bhelen was King & Sided with The Circle

Trigon and Annie,

I just found out I was WRONG. My buddy just won the game for the first time. He sided with the mages, but failed to save them.

At the coronation he asked that the Circle of Magi be allowed to be free.

In the epilogue, Cullen takes over the Circle Templars, and he's a jerk. So Dagna does indeed pick up the mages and moves them to Orzammar. Since nobody will screw with the dwarves they re free from the Chantry.

Annie was right.

Harrowmount was king when my friend did it.  It essentially boils down to playing a mage, all the mages of the circle die on accident (you agree to save them but fail), you ask for the mages to be free atthe coronation as your boon.

An exalted march against Orzammar would be fun. The templar´s talents are useless against dwarves, and the whole enterprise would end with there being a lot less templars and chantry zealots, thus an improvemeent for everyone.

And this is WHY they put the new Circle in Orzammar, according to my  friend I just got off the phone with.  He said that the epilogue essentially said the Chantry wanted to march on Orzammar but couldn't because Dorfs wreck Templars.

If you help dagna Orzammar does not start it's own Circle. She publishes some research that gains a lot of noteriety. Dwarves can't do magic.

I haven´t tried myself yet, but I heard that if you side with the templars and kill the mages (during broken circle) THEN a new circle can be founded in Orzammar by the collective, though there are some more conditions (I think, Bhelen as king).

No that's not true, you still get the rumor. As long as you help Danga and Burkel, you will get those rumor slides.

I just finished a game with the same outcomes and got that slide too. I KNEW I should have made a screenshot Posted Image.

It seems it's a rare outcome, but do-able.  I got pretty excited when my friend told me about it.  He thought that was the norm.  I was like, "In 10 playthroughs and hours on the forums, I've never heard of that until today.  I blew it off and now total coincidence you just call and describe it to me exactly as I was told."

Okay I got this from the toolset

Brother Brukel

"Brother Burkel's new chantry in Orzammar drew a surprising number of converts among the dwarves. They quickly attracted a great deal of anger from more conservative quarters, and before long the Assembly severely restricted the Andrastians' rights."

"Brother Burkel resisted, and was slain while being arrested during a peaceful demonstration in the Commons. The Assembly claimed this was an accident, but news of the resulting riots reached the Chantry on the surface, where the Divine even contemplated a new Exalted March."

Dagna

"The dwarven mage, Dagna, ultimately completed her studies at the rebuilt Circle Tower. Eventually, she published a comprehensive theory of how lyrium vapors relate to the supply of magic. It gained a great deal of attention."

Circle was NOT given independence in epilogue

"This inspired mages from other parts of Thedas to establish a new Circle of Magi in Orzammar itself, one that had ready access to dwarven lyrium... and lies outside the Chantry's power completely. The willingness of Orzammar to harbor apostates sparked outrage that began whispers that the Divine was contemplating a new Exalted March."

Circle was given independence in epilogue

Skips to the Anvil of the Void

So if you help Brukel you will get the Exalted March phrase thrown at you. However, in Dagna's case, giving the Circle it's independence will skip the Exalted March paragraph all together.
